Second; Harsh comments kill new writers. There is no debate about
that. Any author knows that is can take a while before a thick skin can
develop. So unless they ask for brutal honesty, try to keep the name
calling to a minimum.
Sometimes there's nothing you can say about a story without being harsh.
Yes, "Pyros" was THAT bad. Sorry to say so, but it's true. Besides, in
your author's notes, you said the following:
"Don't feel constrained by my new status as a writer. I've had people
walk all over my dreams since birth. I've got a very thick skin. So
please, FOR THE LOVE OF ANIME, WRITE ME!!"
Fourth; This is a personal pet pev of mine. On my first post to the
FFML, I recived a grand total of five replies. And on all of those five
replies was one simple comment. "You didn't give the original author
credit." Nothing about how I wrote, or if it was good, just "You didn't
give the original author credit." And IF I hadn't given the author
credit, I would've just left it at that. But I had. THREE TIMES. So what
I'm getting to here is, if you refuse to complain about something that
happened in the story itself, make DAMN sure that you know you're right.
You're right, you did give me credit. I don't know who said you didn't
or why. But what you *didn't* do was take the trouble to get either my
name or the name of my fic right.
