Note the word 'INSTEAD of'. For the wish to be fully fulfilled, the Tendo
engagment should be dissolved by now. Not just a breakup. Even their fathers
would be compelled to dissolved their engagment by the Ultimate Force.
Do keep this in mind when you do a revision.

Actually, it's not necessary to dissolve Ranma and Akane's enagememt in order
for the wish to be fulfilled. I double-checked the definition of the word
'instead' to make sure, but there's a subtle meaning to it.
Apparently it means something along the lines of a substitute or an
alternative. So that basically means when Ranma made his wish, the role of his
'primary' finacee was shifted from Akane to Bellandy. Ao even if Akane's still
Ranma's finacee or not, the wish can be completly fulfilled either way. ;)
In this case, Bellandy can be considered as the replacement (in a crude
fashion) for Akane, which is fairly a cruel thing to do. Being naive, Bellandy
isn't aware about this, but I'm sure others can easily see it from this view,
especially Akane, Ryoga, and Kuno. To top things off, Ranma has absolutely no
idea that he had just made Bellandy into an equivalent (loosely phrased) of a
mistress for himself.
Those two are bound to create unpreccented problems for Ranma. Heh.
