I left that out because I thought it might constitute a spoiler for an
anime/manga series that I doubt everyone has read.

So why doesn't Lina's spell affect him?  I say her magic creates the
fireball... but the fireball is just fire, not magical energy.  Works
for me for a short spamfic, anyway.  ^_^  If I were going to write a
full-blown treatment of this, I'd do the opposite... Lina throws her
fireball, and for once, it doesn't solve her problems...  ^_^
