There's not really enough here for me to make a judgement, but your writing skill is good and the story caught my interest.

One nit, though: you do realize that the Kenshingumi and the Ranmagumi are about 200 years apart, and that you'll need to explain why they're suddenly together?

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the rest of this.
