Chapter 1: What Happened to Peace and Quiet?

Ahem. This series is a offshoot of 'LIAC- Live-in Anime Characters'.
Original idea is from Tae-sa, upholder of the LIAC bureau is Sae-sa, and
all characters except the authors are owned by a half-ton of mangaka people
and various studios.

There were two entries in the mail, over the next two days, one from a guy
called 'Pandomine' and one from a girl who called herself 'Prince of
Dragons' though how a GIRL could be a prince was anybody's guess.
Sera filed those away in the ALICA file and leaned back, taking a deep
breath. It was school holidays.
	Joy.
	With a ton of projects.
On the other hand, maybe it wasn't so good.
But she had cut the work down to just the history project, which wouldn't
be TOO bad with a seven-hundred-old youko leading the way...lucky for her,
she had ordered Kurama and Duo exactly at the start of the hols.
Logging off her computer, the girl stood and went looking for her copies
of 'Return of the Condor Heroes'. Yes, she was a Singaporean Chinese.
The doorbell rang. She look a wistful look back at the shelves of comics
both Chinese and Japanese, then went to answer it, straightening her hair
and clothes.

	"ACK!"
She slammed the door shut and concentrated on not hyperventilating.
There was a guy with silver hair and ears.
	Argh. Kurama. Youko.
	Trouble.
I didn't mean it! she yelped, turning SD and running around in little
circles. I really really really didn't mean it!
She stopped short. How did I turn Chibi? she wondered. As if on cue, she
regained normal height and proportions again.
Taking a deep breath, she steeled herself and opened the door again. "Hi?"
"I'm from the ALICA," Kurama said with more than a hint of distaste. "and
the term for us characters is-"
"LIAC," a cheerfully grinning brown-haired boy finished, poking his head
over the tall youko's shoulder. He then collapsed to the ground with a yelp
as the fox spirit kicked him in the shin, a VERY irritated look on his face.
"Oro..." Sera looked as poleaxed as any human being faced with two
delinquents could look. "Ah...Kurama-sa, I think you and Duo had better
come in..."
They obeyed with much grumbling on Kurama's part and a small hail of
mumbled curses on Duo's. Behind them was a short, stocky man with
forehead-and-cheek markings, holding a clipboard in one hand and a pen in
the other.
"Sign here, miss," the man grunted, holding the two items out.
Sera signed quickly, noted the puzzled look that the man sent her way as
he checked the line and found three artistically drawn Chinese characters
on it, and went back in to tend to Duo's injury, locking the door behind her.

A few days after the arrival...
Duo sat in front of the coffee table, babbling something about his beloved
Shinigami, and Kurama in ningen form was throwing kitchen objects,
excluding knives, at him for exaggerating.
"My Shinigami is the best!" Duo snickered, and dodged the glass that
bounced off the TV screen harmlessly (apparently Sera had a set of
unbreakable glass cups). "You can only turn into a funny-looking half-doggie!"
"I'll have you know that it's a FOX!" Kurama yelled back. "A FOX! Not a DOG!"
"And I'LL have you know," Sera broke in with a dangerous growl, "that I
don't appreciate my plates and glasses being thrown around like that-" she
broke off as a prematurely-released pan clocked her squarely in the face.
Duo froze. So did Kurama. There was a ominous sound of something burning
coming from the crumpled heap of fanfiction writer, and Duo had a sinking
feeling that it wasn't breakfast.
"THAT IS IT!" Sera screamed, picking herself up and grabbing hold of Duo's
ear. After a moment of protest, Kurama found himself dragged by the ear out
of the living room and into the main corridor. "You will both stay here
until I have breakfast ready. And no more fighting or I'll..." her
expression was dangerous enough for the pair to wish that no fights had
started in the first place. As it was, they most fervently did not want to
find out what the rest of her sentence was going to be.
Meanwhile, Sera got all the way into the kitchen and onto one of the
kitchen chairs before she starting banging her forehead on the table.
"Whymewhymewhyme?!" she wailed. "What happened to peace and quiet?"

More chapters on the way! What is Brandon's reaction when Herb and Pikachu
come to stay? What's that puu-ing sound coming from Andrew Norris' house?
ACK! Why are Ranma and Akane declaring a temporary truce? Will it last long?
Find out in the next chapters of ALICA Adventures: 'Princely Problems' and
'Opposites Attract...Don't They?"
