Mixx will be putting out Sailor Moon Novels starting in April, and 
rumours are flying as to who the writers are.

Was anyone here approached, and if so, where can I find your stories.

  I doubt that would ever happen. Professionals, most likely. 

If this is true, it's utter disaster for those Sailor Moon fanfic 

writers

out there. 

  And then, the world...! (sarcastic) 
  If this is the case, then I'd better finish my first (and perhaps, 
ONLY) Sailor Moon fanfic (which has nothing to do with Sailor Moon or 
her bandwagon, and that's all I'll say on it). 

The result? Mixx would be well within its rights and interests to wipe

fiction from the net. I believe Paramount adopted a similar strategy 

when

the rise of Trek netfiction threatened its novel line.

While I'm not a Sailor Moon author... hell, I'm not even a reader; I
detest the series... 

  Same goes here, and yet I find myself writing a fic.... 

this is a very worrisome development for anime
fanfiction in general. Verification of this information is in order, as 

is

a determination of the exact _type_ of novel - Robotech and Gundam
novelizations, that is, treatments of the anime into book form, have
existed for decades, and are not nearly the threat that actual original
novels would be.

  In either case, the content would still be the watered-down dub 
version for us sensitive North American audiences. (sarcastic)
  If they ever get around to it, I always wonder how those guys would 
deal with the Deathbusters arc; I mean, there's a LOT of sensitive 
connotations in that one (watch as they turn the Holy Grail into the Cup 
of Eternity or somesuch rot, and Pharoah 90 into a new form of 
Negaforce....). 

Ummm....you know, folks, this is kind of a crazy question, but...

Is it just within the realm of possibility that Mixx is talking about
GRAPHIC NOVELS here? As in, COMPILATIONS of the manga itself?

Just a wild thought...

  That's an idea. But, there is already a graphic novel put out, isn't 
there? I know there's one available at Amazon.com (don't say anything, I 
detest the series, its just that certain elements of my family being 
introduced to animedom were done through Sailor Moon-- I keep pressing 
them to watch something better. Oh well, at least Sailor Moon finished 
THEIR story arcs... heh, heh). I don't know if Mixx put out that one, 
though.
