As I wandered through A Sailor Moon Romance's (
http://moonromance.simplenet.com ) weekly updates I took notice to all the
different names the authors have.  A LOT of Sailor names, some strange and
some real names.  This brought to mind a question:  What makes you pick your
name?
Some people take there name from a character they've created.  Personally
that's how I got my pen name.  I wrote a story that has vanished practically
into the internet and recycle bin void.  The character was never supposed to
be a SI character, but I really liked her name and didn't want to use my own (
I like the mystery of people not knowing my real name I guess ).  So in the
end to prevent confusion I changed my characters name from Rain to Rayn just
so there wouldn't be any confusion.  
But for those of you who don't use your real name, why do ya?  And for those
of you who have a Sailor name, well I really wanna know why.  I'm just curious
as to what made you choose that name.
