Oops. Someone pointed out that there were some really annoying marks in the
last post all due to my mailer. Let's see if I can get it right this time.
Thanks and Merry Christmas !

Hi kids !
Merry Christmas and I hope to give those who've been waiting
for the above three fics a Happy New Year by finishing at least
one of them. These fics have been constantly delayed by
writing blocks, checking test papers, chaperoning the prom,
boy-chasing and other mundane work that I will now vow to never
promise a release date for a fic.
I'll just send these two teasers over to tide you over for awhile.
Thanks to D.B. Sommer for prereading.
To the two people who sent me their copies of Lavender #1
thank you very much and congratulations on becoming members
of the crew of E.F.S. The Flying Dutchman. Send descriptions
of yourselves for Lavender #8
I thank Tybalt for her permission to use her as a character.
Her characterization is my own idea mixed up with quite a
few other people's ideas.
What do I mean by calling Tybalt "her" ?
Read and find out.

teaser for #6

He had no name. All he had was his work. The Hunt.
He was stalking his prey, moving like a panther through the steamy
tropical forest. He knew she was here. He could feel the magic that
she radiated.
One of Pandemonium's Lesser Senshi. Weak by Senshi standards,
but powerful nevertheless. She knew he was here, but she didn't know
where.
He jumped up, his magically-enhanced body enabling him to reach
a high branch of a nearby ironwood tree. His green cloak trailed
behind him as he jumped to the next branch above him. He looked
down to see the distinctive gray uniform of one of Pandemonium's
Senshi. He unlimbered a gun from one of the many holsters under
his cloak and took aim with slow deliberate movements, his steel-
gray eyes looking down. The gun he held in his gloved right hand
looked like an antique .45 caliber revolver except for several
differences.
Ordinary antique revolvers did not have runes etched into their bullet
chambers and along the gun barrel. But the biggest difference was
the fact that ordinary guns don't have runes that glow an eldritch
green and a hammer that glows a fiery red when they're cocked.
The Senshi looked up as she heard the click of the hammer being
drawn back and quickly raised her hands sending twin bolts of dark
energy towards her quarry.
The man pulled the trigger as he moved his head to the left, as
one force bolt singeing his dark-brown hair. The other bolt hit
the trunk, sending splinters of razor-sharp ironwood flying. One
of the splinters managed to graze him, making a small horizontal
cut across his cheek. He paid no heed to it.
The man's aim was much better than the Senshi's.
Her head disappeared in a bloody haze.
As the headless body fell with a thump, the man landed beside
it with feline grace. As he searched the body for a teleport crystal,
he returned his thoughts once again to the Hunt.
One down. Hundreds to go.
Until he reached his goal.
Pandemonium.
He found the crystal and concentrated, activating the magicks
woven into it.
He looked at his gun and smiled.
He may have had no name but his gun had one. He said it aloud as
he disappeared in a flash of light.
" Senshi Killer. "

Teaser for #7
********************
Somewhere in space and time:
The blonde in the wheelchair looked up as an attractive
short-haired woman stopped by her side, pushing a cart
filled with books and paper printouts. They were surrounded
by millions of computer terminals and monitors.
" Ruka-chan." The short-haired woman said with a nod.
" Archivist Tybalt. You have something for me ?" Ruka-chan
said as she ran a hand through her long hair. Her green eye
seemed to glow in the weak light projected by the computer
screens. The black lens of her glasses made her more
sinister-looking than she was.
" Well, you know about D.B. Sommer's Shampoo 1/2 ?"
" Yes. One of my favorites."
The woman called Tybalt smiled.
" Well, look at this baby."
Tybalt picked up a manga from the cart and gave it to the
blonde. Ruka-chan looked at it with a bemused expression.
" Shampoo 1/2 by Sommer D.B. and Sommer Rumiko ?"
" A very,very complicated timeline, Ruka-chan. See D.B.
was born in Japan and he was Rumiko's -"
Ruka-chan put up a hand.
" Don't explain. I'll try to figure out later. Other new stuff ?"
" Well, there's Leo Tolstoy's Song of the Phoenix along
with Isaac Asimov's Sailormoon Z, the new chapter of Onna:
Red Side by Norman Mailer, Stephen King's Ill Met By
Starlight, Robert Jordan's Waters Under Earth..."
" Any videos ?"
" Well, this one from the timeline where Anno Hideaki
created Sailormoon....and I got an entirely new set of
Undocumented Features OVAs here. The guys have gone
a long way from the original series."
" What do you expect from the one of the longest running
anime series in the multiverse. Have them delivered to the
Tower. Any problems ?"
" Five of the MLs crashed. All because spam. I will be contacting
the Executioners to deal with them."
One of Ruka-chan's eyebrows ,ever so delicately, twitched.
" Isn't that a .... tad ..... extreme ?"
" I've given all of the responsible parties ample warning. Spam
is evil. A horrible cancer that should be ripped, crushed
shredded, nuked, Si-"
" OK. OK. I've heard your 'Spam is evil. Spammers should be
dropped in vats of boiling oil' speech before. Do something
less drastic. Ban them or something."
Tybalt pouted.
" At least let me send my men in black helicopters to rough
them up a bit."
" No. That's final. Anything else ? "
" A message from Lavender."
Tybalt gave a piece of paper to Ruka-chan. She glanced at
the printed message and returned her gaze to Tybalt.
" Anything more ?"
At this Tybalt's mouth widened into a smile.
" I am in need of more funds,Ruka-chan. I'm requesting approval
for one of my projects. It entails the sale of -"
Ruka-chan silenced her with a glare from her one eye.
" Nab-"
" Tybalt, Ruka-chan, Tybalt."
" OK, Tybalt. We are a non-profit organization. We will not
have another one of those financial scandals, particularly
yours, endangering the Archives. If you are in need of money
send a requisition form to the Tower. Am I clear or do I have to
demote you again to Worm maintenance ?"
Tybalt wiped the smile from her face.
" No, ma'am."
" Tybalt. Say that again."
" No, Ruka-chan."
" Good. Notify Gurio of my arrival at his sector in a few days."
The wheelchair squeaked as Ruka-chan rolled down the
aisle between the many terminals, leaving Tybalt to her
work.

I'll try to finish the fics as fast as possible.
