	I don't remember reading the orig. post, but here's my 2 cents:
	If the maiming later on will enhance the child's ability to survive, it is
justified.
	That, and I hope that whomever posted that is against some of what is being
done by teachers in the public schools...  (I don't care, hitting someone over
the head is *NOT* an effective form of communication.)
