Alright, this is a true encounter with people that you know online, but not
in person. A few of us, me, Yurikana, Kitsane and Bulma went for a meeting
in a shopping complex in Sunway Piramid...
One word: That person could be so near, yet so far.

~~~A Fanfic Writer's Meeting~~~
It was Friday - 10.30am. I paced to and fro in front of the dressing
mirror, scratching my chin and observing my appearance. Alright, I see a
girl there dressed in a black T-shirt and a pair of bermudas. Half of her
hair was tied up in a ponytail and she kept meddling with the comb. It was
me, Wong Siew Lee. It was just a few days ago when four of us met in ICQ,
coincidentally, and it was my big mouth which suggested for a meeting; yet
I was here looking like some nervous wreck.
11.00am - I walked into Sunway Piramid and the cool air inside met me with
full blast. I shivered, wondering if they would turn up. I loaved around in
the shopping complex, stopping at whichever object or shop that caught my
attention. I went bowling. Much to my dismayal, all the lanes were reserved
for some tournament, which left me nowhere to go. Wandering around in the
building, I stopped over at a cosmetic booth. Okay, my mum didn't let me
wear nail polish so I never quite get to look at my nails in a flaming red
color. Peering over my own shoulder and seeing no one, I quickly picked up
a test bottle of sliver nail polish and began painting a few of my nails
with that. Slowly, I got bolder, I took a dark purple shade and painted at
least a few nails with that. Sastified, I walked out of the stall waiting
for 1.00pm.
1.00pm - I stood there, in front of 'Gift Land', looking very clueless. I
went inside the shop and admired a few YYH cards. Alright, *Kuwabara* cards
since the rest were all snapped up. Bored, I went out there and flopped
down on a steel bench. I kept glancing at my watch as minutes ticked by.
Still no sign of Yuri, Kitsane or Bulma. I took out a volume of Ranma and
began to enjoy the book... *Okay, they dumped me,* I thought.
Suddenly, I overheard two voices talking quite loudly.
I couldn't quite catch the words as I was concentrating on the book.
Suddenly, I overheard a VERY important word: 'Yuri'. I lifted my head and
looked... There were two girls standing nearby, looking as clueless as I
was. One was dressed in a black tank top with a white jacket as well as
jeans and the other girl was slightly taller. Well, I gathered my courage
and asked, "Is either of you Lydia?" I didn't care about the odds... I
didn't care if someone sees me as some nutty girl... Much to my relief, the
two girls shouted: "SIEW LEE!"
Alright, I wasn't alone now.
1.40pm - Aileen talked to me about some manga while Lydia was rather quiet
at times. WOW. Aileen was surely very enthusiastic! Trust me. She seemed to
like talking a lot.
A huge bunch of girls walked by. I got pretty scared. Bulma told me that
day that a huge bunch of her classmates were ready to kill me for what I
done to Kurama in my fic... and she would be bringing some friends along
this time. I didn't want to be chased all the way to KL... I secretly
heaved a huge sigh of relief when the girls passed by without saying
anything.
But hey! I saw Ben Heng! The CommonWealth Games 98 Man's Doubles Bowling
Gold medallist! He looked cuter than ever!
Still no sign of Bulma. I was telling them both that if we didn't see
Bulma in 20 minutes, we would dump her. Three of us were squashed in a
bench, staring at passerbys. Well, a girl walked by, dressed rather
wackily. She was wearing a white tank top with baggy jeans. "Nah... can't
be..." all of us thought. Most of us have talked on the phone before but
still...
The girl retraced her steps and looked at us. Slowly she said: "Siew Lee?
Yuri?" All of us burst into laughter because the scene was really funny.
Haha, Bulma was late because of the stupid bus. Alright, she lived quite a
long way off. Four of us were laughing and chatting like anything. Well,
the impression of fanfic writers through their fics were rather far off...
Bulma said that she imagined me to be someone like the girl in 'Dear
Boys'... Bulma told me that she was nervous about meeting me, Aileen and
Lydia at first because through our fanfics, the authors themselves must be
really beautiful... I mean, let's get more realistic. We didn't have bodies
or faces like Sailormoon or even Ranko.
One thing: Never judge a fanfic writer's actual looks from his/her fanfics.
2.20pm: We talked about a lot of things. Finding the lanes in the shopping
complex to crowded and noisy, we decided to find a remote place in a
bookshop to sit down and chat! We went to 'The Times' and sat down. Aileen
was talking us about her latest fanfics which involved various pairings
like Yusuke X Yomi and Yomi X Mukuro... until the shopkeeper came over to
tick us off for sitting on the floor. I think it was the noise we made
anyway... Having no choice, we went outside and we managed to squash
ourselves into one bench which is about 1 1/2 meters long. Yup, amazing,
wasn't it? We then talked about guys, whose body is nicer to cling to,
perverted acts in school, schoolwork, fanfics, YYH and tons of other things.
3.40pm: Lydia and Aileen went to check on their friends who were bowling
in the bowling center. After a while, we went downstairs and saw a soft toy
exibition going on. I took a pink bunny and kinda hugged it. We were then
laughing about Hiei's reaction when he sees Kurama hugging one like I did.
Well, we came to the conclusion that Hiei will char the bunny. Morbid,
wasn't it?
It was time for Lydia and Aileen to go and we said goodbye, that left me
and Bulma.
5.00pm: I wandered in the building with Bulma, talking about my fanfic and
her's. While, I discussed with her about my *plans* for Kurama and laughed
all the way... She also talked to me about her latest fanfics. AND a
certain irritating person we both know.
Well, 5.30pm. I had to go home, leaving poor Bulma in the building by
herself... Anyway, her friends kinda *vanished* and she had to go home by
herself.
What a day...
~~~The End~~~ of the trip, but it's not the last!
