Why I haven't written in a while: I've been working, and watching
anime. I got the entire Record of Lodoss war and finally finished off my
Dragon ball Z videos. I also got the new Ranma 1/2 and my monthly manga
comics. All that Plus...[whew!] Tenchu, and Duke Nukem: Time to kill.
In two weeks I get the Legend of Zelda and Tomb raider 3. So it's
not like I don't have a good excuse.
I've also raised the quality bar on my fics a bit. Bigger
chapters and better writing from now on. So they'll be a bit slower in
coming. I'm still no English major but I've much improved thanks to good
C&C. Thanks allot!
I hope this is better than the original, it's just getting
started so have patients as I won't get very many gags in these first
parts. They are more set up than anything else. I stole a little here and
there from other anime and manga. Enough so that you'll get jokes and to
do things with characters that I've always wanted to do. Like those damn
cute fuzzy sidekicks, oooh I hate them! How about a scruffy looking cat
with a big ugly scar and flea problems instead? See what I mean?
This first part is a testament that I'll not get only Magical
girl anime with this but all kinds of Anime and Manga.

	Here we go...

MGFlash!!

Magical girl Flash! By Catbert25

Opening Song: 'Just be conscious' from 'Slayers Next'.

CH.1, The day things started to happen.

It was a dark and stormy night in Kyoto, Japan. The wind howled
and pedestrians scurried around in the busy red light district. Dance
clubs pulsated with noise and hookers stood waiting under street
canopies. Despite the hour the area was quite crowded with people, most
between the age of twenty to thirty years old. A few teenagers scurried
about trying to get into bars or strip clubs; most were turned away and
sent back into the streets.
One establishment in particular stood out on the street. A
bouncer stood with a few smaller back up men in front of a velvet rope
just under a walkway that led inside the bar. A neon sign flashed on and
off giving the name of the establishment. 'Bootylicious', a strip club.
He was a large black American man who easily dwarfed the Japanese people
around him. His arm stuck out to block a young man in a white suit who
strolled towards the entrance. "No one under twenty one kid," he muttered
lazily.
"Come on Brak, give a guy a break will ya?" said the boy as he
pat the man's shoulder and stuffed a few thousand yen in his shirt.
He was about eighteen years old and quite handsome. Am X shaped
scar stood prominently on his right cheek that accented his looks even
more. He had short black hair with long bangs that stopped just above his
eyes, witch were covered by a pair of jet black Ray ban shades. He gave a
trademark smirk that earned him the nick name 'Vegita' amongst his
friends. A bubbly blond woman at least three years older than him ran up
and hung on his arm happily.
"Oh, it's you Hibiki, sorry about that. Mr. Kurowsawa is waiting
in the back, he says you can see him after the show," said the bouncer as
he looked at the boy directly for the first time.
"S'okay Brak, don't worry about it. Just make sure I've got
reservations upstairs later," said Hibiki as he indicated the woman next
to him. She giggled and pressed herself against his arm.
The noise of the place was deafening, the woman jumped but Hibiki
remained calm, as if he had been here many times before. He walked over
to a man dressed in a club uniform with dyed blonde hair.
"Hey Kasumi. What's up tonight?" he said.
"Hibiki, what's up? Nothing much. Just your standard nasties. An
overgrown ugly from downtown and a few half assed dojo pets. Some new
blood too though, a woman from Hiroshima. She'll be the one to watch out
for tonight, real pretty and real nasty," replied the man in a business
like tone.
"Great, what's her style?" asked Hibiki as he handed a few bills
over.
"She uses a weird combo of Nodachi and Kodachi. Probably a family
style, watch your ass tonight. This one could kill you," said the man.
"Nodachi and Kodachi? That is weird, a Nodachi is a two handed
sword, how does she manage that?" wondered Hibiki out loud.
"Damn well, she managed to damn near dismember some poor clown
with a pair of Jitte last night," said another man who walked up behind
them.
"Sounds interesting," muttered Hibiki looking thoughtful. The
girl on his arm was growing restless and it showed. She was already
making eyes with another man down the bar. Hibiki turned towards her and
frowned a little. "Come on babe, we're gonna be late," he sighed.

Hibiki walked into a smoky back room that was dimly lit except
for a bright spot light over a ring that sat in the center of the room.
It was a large round dirt and cement thing that looked aged and worn. The
girl frowned as Hibiki sat at a table near the front with her and watched
the current match intently. It was a stand off at the moment. The woman
from Hiroshima was standing opposite a local man armed with a katana.
She was around twenty years old and dressed in the robes of a
Shinto priestess. Her long black hair was tied back behind her in a loose
pony tail. A dark smile crossed her face as her opponent crouched and
watched the insanely long blade of the Nodachi cautiously. She stepped
forward and a quick strike from the Kodachi ended the ten minute stand
off in an instant. The man stood shaking as the blade from the small
sword stuck in his neck millimeters away from the jugular. She stopped
her strike just short and he stamped his foot on the blood soaked dust
signaling his submission.
"Winner! Natsume Kiroshi!" cried the referee.

"So that's her game, intimidation," said Hibiki from his seat.
"What do you mean?" asked a deep voice from behind him. Hibiki
turned in his seat to see a forty something fat man of immense
proportions sitting next to him.
"Ah, Mr. Kurosawa. I see your looking as well as ever," said the
boy with a confident smirk.
"As well as ever," agreed the man. "I thought you had a lady
friend with you."
"I did, she got board during the fight. I doubt if I'll see her
again," said the boy with a smirk. "S'ok. She wasn't that great anyway. I
must say this young flower intrigues me," he indicated the current
champion in the ring and gazed at her coolly.
"Eh? What do you mean 'young'? She's older than you. Besides, I
thought you said you had her figured out already," said the fat man with
a chuckle as a large seafood meal was placed in front of him by one of
the more attractive topless servers.
"I do, she uses the Nodachi as a front. I don't think she can
really use it. It keeps her opponents attention so she can get in with
the Kodachi and finish them off. She's really good with that weapon.
Still... I could take her pretty easy," said Hibiki with a small flash in
his eyes.
"Hmm, fits her profile. Ninety percent of her wins are with the
Kodachi. The other ten percent mostly ran out of the ring when she
unsheathed that damn thing. Only two wins by way of death," said Kurosawa
as he slurped down a raw oyster, "Both of those were with the Nodachi."
"She's been around?" asked Hibiki looking interested. "I've never
seen her around here before."
"She's one of the top fighters in Hiroshima, this is her first
time in Kyoto, she wanted to test the waters around here. We accommodated
her," Kurosawa shrugged and downed a large glass of ale in a few gulps.
"What did you need to see me about?"
"I have to leave, my contract is over. I'm needed at home," said
Hibiki flatly.
"I...am disappointed to hear that, I was planing on grooming you
for a better position in my organization. You are a man I can trust,
that's difficult to find," said the man with a pseudo frown.
"I'd like to stay, but I have family obligations. I'm afraid our
open business partnership has to end tonight," said Hibiki sullenly.
"Family business?" asked the man in a questioning tone.
"Yes, I have to take over my grandfathers position," said Hibiki
with a small smile.
"Excellent, I trust I can contact you if needed?" said the fat
man as an understanding crossed his face.
"Yes, but remember, I'm on the up and up now. I'm going to be
extremely limited in what I can do for you. After all, I have an image
now; I can't be seen associating with you openly. We're going to have
enough trouble as it is," said the boy as he smiled as the next match
started. Two overgrown hulks began to beat on each other rather messily.
It wasn't anything spectacular.
"I understand. You will keep your part of the bargain?" said the
fat man.
"Right, you keep me informed and keep it relatively low key, no
taking over the world or nuclear arms deals; We'll leave you alone."
"Well, it's been a pleasure doing business with you. We'll get
the ring set up for you. I know you would like a nice parting gift. Just
leave her intact, She's scheduled for tomorrow night," said Kurosawa as
he stood from the remains of his plate.
The waitress walked up to clear it away. "Hey, Hibiki. Lose your
girlfriend? You know you can always come with me." she said seductively
as she stuck out her chest and posed for him.
"Thanks, I'll pass tonight. I think I'll be occupied," said the
boy in answer as he watched the fight. One of the hulks was currently
holding the other in a head lock and pounding his face rather messily.
The woman shrugged her shoulders and turned away. "You know the
offers open."
Kasumi strolled over and leaned down by his ear. "You'd better
get ready buddy, your on the card now."
Hibiki smiled and downed the rest of his drink before standing
and walking towards the back.

Hibiki emerged from a back room in a black silk gi with a red
belt. On the back of the uniform a tiger with a rose in it's mouth was
embroidered
carefully in gold thread.
He swaggered into the ring confidently and gazed at his opponent.
She moved quietly from her seat at the side of the ring and kneeled down
with her Nodachi held across her lap. His sneering smirk elected a
slightly angered glare from her. She visibly calmed herself and kept a
neutral face.
"I understand you requested a match with me?" she said in an
emotionless monotone.
Hibiki's confident smirk died a little. "It was sort of a parting
joke for some friends of mine. Who am I to refuse them?" he replied.
"Well then, I hope your more skill than mouth," she said bitterly
with a small smile appearing on her face. "It was foolish to come
unarmed, I've fought many like you before. Your so confident in your own
skill that you think weapons like these are for the weak minded. I have
corrected many of this error."
"If you are so sure how about a little wager then?" said Hibiki
as he looked her up and down.
"What do you mean?" snapped the woman.
"If I win, you spend the night with me," said Hibiki as his glare
took on a familiar hunger.
"You dare?!!" screamed the woman as she stood and drew her
Kodachi.
"Not so confident now are you? You just gave away an important
secret with your anger. Now I'm sure your real skill is with that little
knife rather than the sword," said Hibiki as he backed away in a
defensive stance.
The woman started for a moment and regained her composure. "I
see, well played. If I accept your offer, what do I get?"
"Why, I'll return your prayer beads of course," said Hibiki as he
held up a necklace.
Kiroshi looked down at her side and gasped. He had lifted them
off her belt when she had been distracted by her own anger. "Very well
then! I accept!!" with that the two warriors charged each other.

Hibiki was ruthless and quick. Natsume slashed at his neck
immediately going for a quick win. He snaked his arm around her wrist and
pulled her forward. Her side was completely open to him and she knew it
instantly. "Shit!!"
Hibiki smiled and slammed his knee into her stomach raising her
three feet off the floor. He then smashed her chest with an uppercut that
sent her even higher and forced her to drop her weapons. She shifted her
weight forcing herself to fall back and away from him but it was far to
late. He rushed forward and jumped into a sidekick that slammed her into
a table just outside the ring. The whole thing took less than two
seconds.
Natsume Kiroshi rose shakily to her knees and coughed as she
tried to regain her breath. Tears ran down her cheeks and the alcohol
that spilled on her body in the rough landing burned at the scrapes and
cuts she had received from the ground and table. She turned towards
Hibiki and glared at him angrily.
He kneeled down beside her and smiled. "Here, it's a good thing
I'm not the kind of guy who makes you keep a promise like that," he said
as he handed her the beads.
She grabbed his face and pulled him into a rough kiss. "I gave my
word boy," she said with a bitter sweet smile.

The next morning Hibiki stood in a pair of slacks and a black
polo shirt with the jacket he had worn the night before. Behind him
Natsume sat lazily in the bed as she woke. He turned to her and grinned,
she was probably not a real Shinto priestess. "Later babe."
"Your leaving?" she asked looking only slightly surprised.
"Yea, this was my last night in Kyoto," he said a little
apologetically.
"Well, good luck to you then," said the woman as she sat up in
the bed and smiled weakly.
"I'll miss this place, but I have obligations back home." he said
with a shrug as he idly scratched at the scar on his face.
"I bet you will," she said with a smirk and a little anger in her
voice. She had long ago realized that she was not the first girl to sleep
with him in this place. Probably not the first fighter to fall for his
little trap either. She had been blinded by her own anger at his
brashness, now she had paid for it. It was not an unpleasant punishment
though, she rather enjoyed it actually.
Hibiki turned and looked in the mirror one last time as he walked
towards the door. He smiled at her and she noticed a small blue twinkle
from his right ear. A good sized blue stone sparkled there in a simple
earring.
	"What is...?" she wondered aloud.
Hibiki noticed her gaze and smiled. "Just a little something to
piss the old man off when I get back home," with that he walked out the
door with a roll of clothes with a red belt wrapped around them slung
over his shoulder.
"But...that stone, he can't be..." wondered the girl as she drew
her knees up to her chest and watched the door in shocked amazement.

Several hours later he walked along a road with the city
disappearing behind him. The clouds rumbled angrily off in the distance
ahead of him and he frowned. "It's gonna be a long trip." he said to
himself as he staggered onward. "Stupid old man, why do I gotta walk in
this weather anyway?" me muttered to himself. His attention was caught by
a temple gate. It was a small and simple shrine that rested about half
way up a mountain. Several of the archways were scattered along the
stairway that led to the old shrine.
Hibiki stopped and gazed at the simple arch as it stood by the
road side. It sent a chill down his spine just looking at it. He shrugged
if off and turned towards his destination. "I've got a long way to walk
before I get there. I'd better keep moving," he told himself as he forgot
about the ancient looking temple.

His name was Kotetsu Akai. He was a descendant of an ancient
Chinese immigrant from over two thousand years ago. His family line was
one of the oldest documented in Japan. He had long dark brown hair that
flowed to the small of his back and was cut evenly at the base. He was
extremely handsome and athletically built. He wore an elaborate red and
gold Chinese style robe with the pattern of an angry hawk embroidered on
his back. At his side a coiled leather whip rested.
His grandfather was the keeper and priest at the ancient shrine
of holy light. Deep within it's caverns slept his destiny; a pair of holy
blades long kept by his ancestors to aid Japan in the hour of need. His
mission was different however.
The Akai shrine was long shrouded in mystery as warriors of light
and virtue had trained there secretly for many generations. Now it was
his sacred duty to regain the lost honor of his family and name. He must
go on a mission of vengeance. Long and hard had he trained for this
moment, his ancestors were not only great warriors but skilled craftsmen.
The blades were said to hold the powers of the mightiest storms. He had
to reclaim them, even if it cost his own life to do so.
The cavern stood before him waiting for him to answer his
ancestral call. He watched the entrance half expecting a demon to emerge
and split him open for such insolence as to wish for the power that slept
deep in the darkness. He turned and looked at the darkening sky above
him. The thunder clouds were as black as he had ever seen them, the
lightening that flashed around him seemed louder and more powerful than
any he had seen in his life. The old master of the shrine walked up from
the small home that housed his family for many generations.
He was a calm and brooding looking man with a full beard. It did
not disguise the fact that half of his face was terribly disfigured and
twisted. One of his eyes was glazed over by a white film and was almost
completely exposed by the scared side of his face. He frowned and glared
at the boy standing before the cave.
"So, your blood calls to you at last," said the old man calmly.
Kotetsu looked at the cave again. "Yes."
"Go then, I will not stop you. The sky tells me the time is
right. Our ancient enemy will return soon, possibly bringing a new threat
to our home with them," said the old man with a sigh.
"Thank you grandfather, I will regain our honor and fulfill my
destiny," replied the boy as he walked towards the cave.
"You have trained long and hard my boy. I believe you to be
worthy. It will take all your skills to retrieve your heritage from that
temple."
Kotetsu Akai vanished into the darkness of the cavern. His
grandfather waited and prayed for his safe return.

Deep with in the darkness; a faint glow begins to illuminate an
alter inside a large room. within the slowly growing pale blue light two
long, thin, and curved blades can be seen silhouetted. They rest across
each other and are embedded within a sacred alter. The glow intensifies
and the sheer scope of the room can be seen. It is an immense hallway
like room in which various suits of armor rest along the walls holding
menacing looking spears and axes.

Closing Theme: 'Mask' From 'Sorcerer Hunters'.

C&C to Catbert25@juno.com

Next time, Kotetsu ventures into the cavern for the two sacred
swords. Will he get to them alive? Or will some other force stop him
first? Possibly reaching them before him...
Just so you know now this isn't the Musaki shrine. There will be
no demonesses or sealed monsters here. This cavern was inspired more by
'Raiders of the lost Ark' than 'Tenchi Muyou!'

For those of you who read this before; don't fear! Tsuki is still
the main hero with her Seishin team taking center stage. Hibiki is also a
main character and this thing has a very large supporting cast. So
occasionally the story will not have the main hero's in it.

This is being written using a technique I stole from Star Wars.
One character will lead you to another. [Droids to Luke to Ben to
Han...You get the idea.] This way I can give you much more insight to the
backgrounds and personalities of the characters. Here I make you realize
what a Jerk Hibiki is, it also sets the tone for the anti magical girl
setting of this story. Tsuki is a terrible magical girl; she's the exact
opposite of everything they stand for, but she's still the hero of the
story. That kinda sucks a little cause I have to make her decent deep
down, but still...
Hanna [Tsuki's Grandma] was one of the favorite characters in the
original story. She'll get more time in this version. By the time I get
them all together you should know them pretty well. [I almost called
these parts preludes, but in the end I decided to just make them a part
of the story.] Another thing I seemed to get good responses on is the
inclusion of a sound track list. Here it is, this is for the entire
series not just this episode. I tried to single out a few moments as best
I could without giving to much of the story away. I've got about two or
three chapters before the main story starts up.
This will incorporate everything I wrote in the original series.
[I'm using it as a sort of outline.] So if you read it, you know where
the basic story is going. As you can see however it will include much
more so you will want to read it again. Don't blow the story for other
people, especially the bit about Seishin fire. Thanks.
This, Permanent, and A Saiyan tail are now my first priorities.
Mech slayers and the Spirit within series are still being written so
don't worry. They'll just be coming out allot slower than these other
stories.

More will be posted with later parts as I write them. [Much, much
smaller thought.]
I still need music on Seishin earth, and water. As well as the
Reporters. I also need a track for a guy named Martin; who will
eventually show up in both Mech Slayers and this story. [He was created
for this but I used him in an important part for Mech slayers back when I
thought I'd stop writing this.] He has an almost Ryoga type problem that
has nothing to do with Jusenkyo or a direction sense, you'll just have to
wait for it.
Most of the monsters have music tracks from Escaflowne. I like
the strong choir music of this series for the villains and their plans.
The main villains got tracks from other films and scores though, mostly
because it fit them better. Like I said I stole a little here and there
from other stories. Not so much as to make it unoriginal or a copyright
infringement, but enough that you'll get the gags as they come. Yes, even
though it's pretty serious minded at times; This is a comedy.
So before this little bit becomes longer than the story, Ja!
