SRU: Ranma (1/2)
By Morpheus.

As soon as school was over, Chris Tucker hurried over to the mall, not
very interested in going straight home. He was more interested in going
through a couple of the bookstores for whatever new books had come out,
though nothing new had come out that day that caught his interest.
Though Chris didn't have anything in particular in mind when he'd come
to the mall, he had intended to check out Suncoast, to see if the latest
Ranma tape had come out yet. Disappointed, he left the video store,
wondering why they waited so long between releasing the tapes. Ranma was
his favorite anime series, and neither Chris or his best friend Mark
could get enough of it. As soon as a new tape would come out, one of
them would buy it, and they'd both go over to Chris's house to watch it,
and laugh at the escapades of the cast.
As Chris went over to the mall fountain, a girl caught his eye, though
it took him several seconds to recognize her. She was Allison Sacher.
Chris had a little bit of a crush on her, but then again, half the boys
in his school did. Chris sighed and admired her from a distance for a
few seconds, knowing that he'd never have a chance at her, since she was
a senior and he was only a junior. And besides, after a few of the
things he'd heard about her, he wasn't completely sure he'd really want
to date her. She was supposedly a bit stuck up.
Shrugging, Chris walked away, intent on finding something else in the
mall to occupy his time for a little while longer until he had to go
home. Without paying any particular attention to where he was walking,
Chris just started strolling through the mall, dodging around other
people that were in his way and moving too slow.
Finally, something caught Chris's eye and made him stop. In front of
him was a new store that he knew couldn't have been there the last time
he'd been in the mall the week before. Chris smiled at the idea of a
new store to look through, especially one with the interesting name of
Spells R Us, like the one in front of him. Just from the outside, the
store practically screamed that it was different from every other store
in the mall, largely because it didn't seem to be as bright and flashy.
It didn't seem to be trying to attract a lot of attention.
Curiously, Chris went through the door, thinking it odd to have a
regular door like that in a mall store. That was just another point in
the stores favor as far as Chris was concerned. It just made it all
more interesting. Smiling, Chris looked around, seeing that the store
didn't look like it was new on the inside, but more like it had been
there for a long time. Long enough for a lot of clutter and strange
merchandise to build up. This was looking better and better to Chris.
Shelves were covered with various odds and ends, not in any particular
order. As far as Chris could see, there seemed to be almost everything
in the store, rather than the specialization that most stores had.
Antiques were mixed with what seemed to be computer games and little
plastic dolls. Some costumes hung in a corner, seeming to be mostly
women's costumes. Maids, prostitutes, harem girl outfits and the like.
After glancing around for almost a minute, Chris noticed an old man
coming out from a door behind the counter, and looking up at him. Chris
was amused to note that the old man was wearing a robe that looked like
some sort of wizards robe, like he'd seen on the covers of some fantasy
books.
"Hello Chris." The old man said, surprising Chris with how he knew
his name. In spite of Chris's wondering, he wasn't about to ask,
knowing that it was obviously what the old man wanted. The old man
sighed, and said, "Since you aren't going to ask, I'll just have to tell
you. I'm a wizard." Chris smiled, wondering just what was up. The old
man frowned at Chris's obvious disbelief. "All right" he muttered,
"don't believe me."
"Pretty interesting place you got here" Chris said politely. He
wasn't sure that he believed in magic, and in fact was rather skeptical.
However, he knew that this place wasn't here the week before, and it
certainly looked like it had been there a long time, so he wasn't quite
sure what to think. The trick with his name hadn't particularly
impressed him, though that had left him rather curious as well.
Overall, the mysteriousness only made Chris more interested in the
place.
"I noticed" The Old Man said, "That you are a fan of Ranma." It wasn't
a question. Chris nodded, once again a little curious as to how the old
man knew. The Old Man sighed, and shook his head, "I already told you
that I'm a wizard" Now Chris was impressed. He figured that the Old
Man had just guessed what he was thinking very well, or was great at
body language. Then again, Chris wondered if maybe the Old Man could be
a wizard. Stranger things have happened.
"It is a rather amusing show." The Old Man said, chuckling, and Chris
smiled, agreeing with him. "I'll tell you what" The Old Man said,
scratching his chin, "I think I have something that as a fan of the
show, that you might be interested in." Patiently, Chris waited while
the Old Man went into the room behind the counter and brought out
something in his hands. He unfolded it and held it up for Chris to see.
In the Old Man's hands was a white T-shirt, with a picture of Ranma on
the front. Chris smiled, seeing that it had the black haired male
Ranma, leaning back against the smaller, red haired, female Ranma. The
classic picture from the show.
Chris had seen shirts like that one before, but for some reason, this
one caught his eye. Since he didn't have any Ranma shirts, Chris
figured why not, and asked the Old Man how much it cost. When the Old
Man told him it was $8.00, Chris happily handed the money over, and
thanked the Old Man.
"Oh, I think you'll like it" The Old Man said chuckling, "And do come
again. I don't get too much repeat business here." Again, Chris
thanked the Old Man, and left the store with his new shirt in a small
bag, pleased to find such an interesting new place. He figured that it
may even have been better than a new Ranma tape coming out.

When Chris got home, he dropped his bag on his dresser, than hurried
out to the dining room for dinner. They were having breaded pork chops,
which was one of his favorites. As he sat down, Chris could barely keep
himself from just grabbing at the food, it smelt so good. "Looks great
Mom" Chris said, and was thanked by the cook, who was obviously pleased
by the compliment.
Sitting down, Chris looked at his Dad, who was helping himself to a
pork chop. Chris almost said something about his Dad's balding
forehead, but decided that he could wait to tease his Dad some more.
His Mom pushed her brown hair back from her eyes and sat down. Like most
good cooks, she had a little extra weight from tasting her cooking, but
Chris thought that she wasn't as bad as she could be. In fact she took
great care not to get too overweight.
And just across from Chris was his 11 year old brother Bobby. Chris
ignored Bobby's sticking his tongue out at him, too intent on the
delicious meal in front of him.
Dinner went by quickly with some talking, though Chris was thinking
about what he would tell Mark about that new place he'd found. He was
sure that Mark would get a kick out of it too. It had been such an
interesting store, that he was sure that he'd have to go back again
sometime when he was in the mall.
After dinner was over, Chris helped put the dishes into the dishwasher,
then hurried back up to his room, reminded of his purchase only when he
saw it sitting on his dresser, where he'd left it. Smiling, he opened
the bag and took the shirt out, holding it up to look at the picture on
the front.
When he looked at the tag in back, Chris snorted seeing a label that
read, MADE IN CHINA. "Appropriate" Chris chuckled, then read underneath
that where it said GOOD IN HOT AND COLD WATER. Obviously someone had
a sense of humor, Chris thought, leaving the shirt on his bed, while he
got up and started to get ready for a shower. He preferred to take his
showers in the morning, but knew that he usually didn't have time for
that, so ended up taking them at night instead.
Chris finished his shower pretty quickly and hurried back to his room
wrapped up in his towel. As he slid a pair of shorts on, he remembered
his new shirt and slipped that on as well. He was pleased to note that
it fit him just right, especially when he remembered that he hadn't
thought to check the size when he'd bought it. "I guess that old guy
must be pretty good at guessing sizes." Chris told himself.
Sighing, Chris knew that he'd have to get some homework done tonight,
or he'd be in trouble in class the next day. Shrugging, he sat down at
his small desk, and started on his math. Though he quickly got bored, he
made himself stay focused so he could finish it up and go find something
better to do when he was done.
Leaning back in his chair, Chris was thinking about the last problem
which had been giving him some trouble. He was about to just put
anything down, when Bobby suddenly burst through the door, yelling
"Gotcha" And shooting at Chris with his Super Soaker.
"Damn!" Chris said, just as Bobby ran back out the door to avoid any
retaliation. Angry, Chris realized how wet he was, then quickly realized
something else. Gasping, he felt his whole body suddenly start changing
on him. He felt himself actually getting smaller, and his body pulling
in on itself. Chris fell to his knees as his chest began to expand,
while his waist grew smaller. Closing his eyes, Chris tried to ignore
the strange sensations running through his body as everything started
pushing out or pulling in where it shouldn't. As quickly as it started,
it stopped, not having taken any longer than 15 seconds, though it
seemed longer to Chris.
Nervously, he stood up, and said "What the hell?" and was surprised to
hear his own voice. It sounded familiar. Horrified, he wasn't sure
exactly what had happened, then something caught his attention from the
corner of his eye. With a nervous hand, he reached up and pulled it
into his view, seeing that it was hair. Bright red hair, and attached to
his head. Looking down at himself, Chris saw the breasts pushing out
from his chest, and recognized that the rest of his body also seemed to
have changed.
It took a second, but Chris started to have an idea, remembering the
shirt he was still wearing, and the man he'd bought it from. The man who
claimed to be a wizard. Nervously suspecting what he'd find, Chris put
his hand into the front of his shorts, only to have his suspicions
confirmed. It was gone. Gulping, Chris looked around his room,
realizing that he had obviously grown a little shorter as well. His
shirt was still fitting him fine, but Chris's shorts weren't quite as
comfortable, feeling like they wanted to slide down his legs.
Peaking out this door to make sure that no one would see him, Chris
snuck into the bathroom, horrified that anyone should see him like that.
How would he explain what had happened, when he wasn't even sure?
Carefully, he closed the bathroom door behind him, not wanting to be
heard. Then he turned to the mirror, ready to face whatever had
happened.
Chris wasn't at all surprised at what looked back at him. It was a
teenage girl, with long red hair, and with large blue eyes. He smiled
nervously, then waved. All Chris could do was stare, recognizing the
girl in the mirror as Ranma. At least what the female Ranma would look
like if she were real, and if she didn't have her hair in a pig tail.
Chris realized that it was no wonder he'd recognized his voice. It was
the same one that was used on the show. Nervously, he said "Hello" to
himself, quietly enough so that no one would hear him. Again, he heard
his voice as Ranma's. "Definitely weird" He said.
He knew that he should be a lot more scared about this than he was, and
that by all rights he should be horrified and panicking. But instead,
Chris found himself curious and fascinated. Fascinated that he'd
somehow become one of the characters from his favorite show, and amazed
that such a thing could happen in real life. As he touched his perky
breasts, Chris felt sorry for doubting that Old Man was a wizard when
he'd claimed he was. Nothing but magic could have explained this.
Again, Chris looked at himself in the mirror, and couldn't help but
whistling. The girl who looked back was so nice looking. A little
short perhaps, maybe 5 foot 3, but with an athletic and wiry build. He
couldn't help but notice the curves on his body, or resist the
temptation to fondle his new breasts.
After 5 minutes, Chris realized that if anyone should find him like
that, there would be a lot of trouble. Chris wasn't exactly sure what
had caused this to happen, but remembered that he'd only changed after
Bobby had sprayed him with water. Smiling, Chris looked down at the
Ranma shirt he was still wearing, recognizing his reflection as one of
the characters on it. Smiling, Chris thought that he knew how to
change back.
Feeling a little nervous, Chris turned he hot water on in the sink,
then put his hands into it and splashed himself. He was greatly
relieved to feel himself changing back almost immediately. Within a
very short time, he was his old self again. Excitedly, he examined
himself for any side effects of what had happened, but was relieved to
find nothing.
Chris was about to take the shirt off, when he smiled, wondering if it
would work again. With only the barest hesitation, he put his arm under
the sinks cold water, and again felt himself changing. He couldn't help
but chuckle to see Ranma looking at him in the mirror again, and smiled.
That was great. Once he was sure that it worked, Chris used the warm
water to turn himself back to normal.
Taking the shirt off, Chris wanted to make sure that there weren't any
side effects, and found that when he put his hand under the cold water,
nothing happened. He sighed in relief, glad that it was just the
shirt.
Going into the kitchen, Chris grabbed two Tupperware bowls and brought
them to the bathroom, trying not to be noticed by anyone. He sighed in
relief when he was safely back in his room, with the door locked. Chris
smiled as he looked at the two bowls of water, one warm, and one cold.
He wanted to do a little more experimenting, and didn't want to be
disturbed.
Changing himself back and forth, Chris didn't notice any side effects.
He couldn't resist removing his clothes once he was a girl and examining
his naked body. All except for the T-shirt which he left on, a little
afraid that if he took it off he might either revert to himself
immediately, or be stuck like that. He wasn't quite ready to answer
what would happen just yet, so was satisfied at looking at his new
nipples poking through his shirt, and gingerly touching them.
Chris carefully fingered his new vagina, finding it extremely strange
having that there rather than his usual genitals. Feeling curious, he
slowly slid a finger inside his slit, amazed at being able to do such a
thing. Afraid that he might actually like it, Chris pulled his finger
back out before he started to really get excited. He could already feel
himself starting to get wet, and wasn't sure that he wanted to
experiment quite that much. To take his mind off of that, he put some
shorts on that would fit him halfway decently, and started to stretch.
He was amazed at how flexible and limber his body was. At how he could
do the splits with amazing ease, and bend over backwards. He didn't feel
as strong as normal, but he certainly knew that he was in better shape
like this than he was as himself. He could almost feel the extra
energy in his wiry body.
After awhile, Chris felt satisfied that he could use the shirt safely,
and that it only took hot and cold water to change him back and forth,
just like in the show. He couldn't help but smile at what he had, and
looked forward to showing it to Mark the next day. Chris finally went
to bed in a great mood, but took longer than normal to get to sleep, his
mind being too busy with the possibilities.
