I have arrived! (Insert Kodachi-like megalomanic laugh here ^o^)

*WHAM*

Sorry about that...I sometimes have trouble keeping my overbloated ego down. ^^;

Short intro: I've been writing fanfiction (mostly Dragon Ball) for about two years, and I joined this mailing list because I am sorely in need of C&C.  I also am the creator and maintainer of the Dragon Ball/Z/GT Fanfic Drinking Game, which if played with real drinks would do permanent damage to your liver. ^^;

Ranma 1/2 OAV
Title: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

Opening Song:

[As the song plays, the camera follows a letter as it makes its way through the postal system--being sorted, flown, etc.]

Credits:
Directed by (whoever)
Story by "Dot Warner" (http://westwood.fortunecity.com/italian/70)
Ranma 1/2 copyrighted by Rumiko Takahashi, Shogakukan Inc., and Viz Animation

BGM:
Typical Ranma BGM music (insert whatever you feel is appropriate)

[As the title music ends, the mailman is inserting the letter, which we finally see is labled "Mr. Genma Saotome" in very nice calligraphy, into the mailbox. Camera follows the letter into the mailbox and fades as the door closes. A few moments later, it opens again and a hand takes it out.]

[Cut to: Kasumi, who looks at the letter with some surprise.]

[Fade to: Genma and Ranma sparring in the back yard as usual.]

Genma: Come on, boy! You can do better than that!

[Genma knocks Ranma into the koi pond with a flying kick.]

Ranma-chan (irritated, as she climbs out): Do ya *always* hafta do that?!?

Genma (charging at Ranma-chan again): A true warrior can take any kind of punishment without complaint! Stop whining like a girl!

Ranma-chan (furious): DON'T CALL ME A GIRL!

[Ranma-chan attacks Genma with a series of painful punches and kicks before flipping him into the pond.]

Kasumi: Uncle Saotome! Mail for you!

[Cut to: the living room. Everyone is assembled together, looking at the envelope. Kasumi hands it to Genma-panda, who tears it open to reveal a postcard with a painting of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge on the front. Zoom in on the card as it gets flipped over, revealing the neatly brushed words...]

"Saotome-san,

I will be arriving soon to fulfill your promise to my father.

			Keikoku Hisui."

Soun (demon head): What is the meaning of this, Saotome!?!

Nabiki (without emotion): Simple. (beat) Another one of Ranma's fiancees is coming over.

[3 second beat; camera switches to each person as they react]

Soun (tears streaming down his face): WAAH!

Ranma-chan (pummeling Genma): Baka oyaji!

Genma-panda (holding up a sign and trying to block at the same time): <Ouch! Ow! Quit that!>

Akane (sarcastically): Just what I need, another rival.

Nabiki (feeling the texture of the envelope): Wonder if she's rich...

Happosai (grinning, rubbing his hands together): I hope she's pretty!

Kasumi (cheerfully): Will I need to set another place at the table?

[Everyone falls over, Takahashi-style. After a two second beat, the door bell rings (off screen).]

Ranma-chan (nervously): Do you think that's her?

Nabiki: There's only one way to find out.

[Everyone looks at one another, nods, and goes to the door, the camera following them from behind. Once there, Ranma-chan takes a deep breath and turns the knob. The door opens to reveal a young man in a western-styled suit whose giant glasses dwarfs his slightly hansome face. He adjusts his necktie and bows deeply.]

Hisui: Greetings, I am Keikoku Hisui. Is Saotome-san home?

[Everyone except Kasumi falls over again.]

Kasumi (sweetly): Uncle Saotome is unavailable right now. Why don't you come in and sit down?

[Kasumi ushers Hisui in, stepping over Soun, who is in shock.]

[There is another three seconds of stunned silence.]

Ranma-chan (grabbing Genma-panda by the collar): Whatcha do *this* time, oyaji?!?

The basic premise is that Hisui's father had arranged a marriage before either Ranma or Hisui was born, but lost contact with Genma as the years passed. Hisui (who has no martial arts abilities, btw) is convinced that Ranma is a girl, and several Takahashi-esque mishaps perpetuate that idea until near the end of the story.

Unfortunately, I've lost the inspiration for continuing this 'fic, so I'm just putting what I have here for you guys to comment on.

(I don't usually do script, but this idea seemed to work better this way.)

More next time, hopefully...(those of you on the FFIRC Mailing List have seen some of it already... ^_^)
