those fanfic conspiracies that are sinister and notorious, and that you 
have believed for so long.

Well, WE here at the PCHAN know better.  Which is why we bring you:

AUTHORS WHO ARE LYING TO YOU.

Yes, by now you all know about the Hitomi scandal that rocked our fair 
list so long ago, and let me tell you, (s)he wasn't the first one...but 
was, in truth, the first one to be outed.  Here are some of the other 
ones that we here at PCHAN have discovered:

CONSPIRATOR #1: Oscar/Richard Lawson.
We all know that Oscar was one of the worst writers in fanfic history, 
right?  And that Mr. Lawson (if that indeed, is his real name) is not.  
Well, boys and girls, the truth is that Oscar REALLY IS Mr. (?) Lawson.  
Here's the secret that revealed the truth:
Oscar is bad.
the name Oscar sounds like Oscar Wilde.
We know that the Wildes (J. Austin and Bridget E.) are involved in a 
different conspiracy.
We also know that NONE of Mr. Lawson's writing is "wild".  In fact, it 
appears to be well thought out and written.
THEREFORE, the whole Lawson thing is a disguise (and the name of a 7-11 
like store in Japan), based on deception.  DO NOT BE FOOLED. Oscar 
simply wants you to believe in his "well-thought out" stories and just 
as he has got you in the palm of his hand...WHAM!  He begins producing 
that trash under the Lawson name!

CONSPIRATOR #2: Rob Barba/Libby Thomas
We believe that these two authors may fall under the category that they 
are one and the same person.  Let's be honest: their writing matches to 
a T.  I have never seen anyone whose writing so much completments the 
other.  They both live in Hawaii...and are not married to each other.  
They're "just friends".  Riiiiiiiigggggghhhhhttttt.  Anyone ACTUALLY 
believe this one?
What I think is that "Mr. Barba" is REALLY Ms. Thomas, and that she 
initially produced stories under the "Rob Barba" name (and what kind of 
a weird name is "Barba", anyway?) until she was comfortable with her 
own, and still produces quality fics, regardless of the name used.

CONSPIRATOR #3: The Eternal Lost Lurker/Chris Angel
ANOTHER pair who are similar.  Who is the real one, who is the pen name, 
we here at PCHAN are not sure.  What we DO know is that they are both 
weird.

CONSPIRACY #4: The Wildes/Rob Barba & Libby Thomas.
Yes, Libby.  Again.  She needs to learn how to write all her stories 
under her own name.
