NOW that I know that the FFML will filter out what it thinks to be
munged...er, s'cription requests, here's the info for the FFDL:
<Insert a few blank lines to get past the FFML filtering mechanism...>
<Okay, I think that's enough. :>
Send $200 and a Priss poster--oh, wait a second. That's the bribe I was
going to nail on--um, nevermind. ^^;;
Just send an email with "subscribe" in the subject to
anime-request@anime.usacomputers.net. The posting address is, of
course, anime@anime.usacomputers.net.
Since it's been about a week since I actually explained what the Fan
Fiction Discussion list is for, and since someone just asked me that
exact question, I thought I might as well take the opportunity to reiterate
what I said earlier.
The FFDL, affectionately known as the Spam ML, was created to be a
venue for any posts or spam that isn't necessarily appropriate for
posting on the FFML, although flames and character debates are
Severely Frowned Upon. Spamfics, adfics (which have been banned on
the FFML), and random chatter are all welcome. Basically, it's a place
where the FFMLers can hang out, socialize, and get to know one
another. ^_^
The FFDL is in no way officially sanctioned by the owner or the
moderator of the FFML. It is a totally separate entity, created for a
different purpose. You have been warned. ;)
