A few words to Gaijin:

While I don't really have anything to say about your reviews, as they're 
perfectly valid, I do have a little comment on your standards of review.

Your standards of review are WAY too strict. I read those stories you 
mentioned, and I think they're pretty much standard of the kind of 
literature you're going to find in the anime fanfic world. Keeping that 
in mind, I think you should lower your standards a little.

I lower my standards for nobody.

 None of those 

stories got higher than fifteen points, less than half of the total 
possible points. This says a little about what I think.

Fifteen is the midpoint of the scale. It represents an 'average' fic. 

Had Davies' fic been complete, it probably would have gotten a fifteen or
sixteen score.

For reference, anything ten and under would be a fic that, under other
circumstances, I'd get three paragraphs into and delete. Anything twenty and
over represents a truly outstanding effort, and anything over 25... well, I
don't see it anytime soon.

All in all, you did some pretty good criticism. I'd get about 33% by 
your standards if I ever submitted a fic to you. 

I'm not grading on a percentile scale. Percentiles tend to be arbitrary
beyond all hope of interpretation; with this system, I have to explain where
the points went.

Keep it up, but be a 

little bit easier on your grading. You going to be a teacher someday?

No, but I do harbor pretensions of being a professional writer now.
