What does Lawson have to do with it?  And just what is
so bizarre about that characterisation?

That scene was *very* similar to one in _Right Side of
the Ledger_ by Lawson.

He likes coming up with bizarre characterizations, one
of which happens to be Nabiki's. The real Nabiki is like
Yotsuya; not especially interested in money, but in
self-indulgence. And, also like Yotsuya, she is basically
harmless.

Colliding SYmphonies suggests that you catch a clue. Go away, read some
more Ranma1/2 manga, and then see if you can intelligently restate this
uneducated response with more than an ill attitude.
