A Neon Genesis Evangelion Thread Story

        Though we wrote this story, A-kun was the one to advise it to 
us.  Of course, he's a bit bogged down trying to write his eighteen 
thousand fanfics.

        Ritsuko looked at the readout that Maya had given her.
        "It looks like his train was delayed and stopped.  He won't be 
here in time, even if we send Section 2 to get him." Ritsuko stated.
        [And I'm not about to send Rei.] Gendo thought to himself.
        Suddenly, Fuyutsuki nudged Gendo.  Gendo saw the look from 
Fuyutsuki and nodded.
        "Captain Katsuragi." Gendo said, addressing the dark haired 
woman who was busy looking at the tactical readouts.
        "Yes, commander?" Misato inquired, feeling a bit annoyed at the 
commander's interupted.
        "Go with Dr. Akagi." Gendo ordered.
        Misato, a bit confused, walked over to Ritsuko, who was standing 
at the nearest exits.  Ritsuko grabbed Misato's hand and dragged her 
off.
        "Set up Unit 01 for a new pilot." Gendo said.
        The entire staff, save for Gendo and Fuyutsuki, blinked in 
unison.
        "You mean we've got an extra pilot?" Maya asked.
        "Hey, Ritsuko, what's going on?!" Misato demanded as she was 
shoved into Unit 01.
        "I know it's painful, but remember when you were near that Angel 
when it destroyed Antarctica?  Well, Professor Fuyutsuki, my mother, and 
Director Ikari believe that you, since you were so young and so close, 
might have the ability to pilot the Evangelion." Ritsuko replied.
        "Uhhhhh, what?" Misato asked.
        "Just get ready to pilot, okay?" Ritsuko asked.
        "HEY!!" Misato cried as the plug closed and slid into Unit 01.
        As soon as Eva 01 was on the launch pad, it was shot up into the 
city.
