The problem came from the fact that the whole Shortfic that I wrote and
attached was never mentioned. Ever. Not even once through the whole blooming
thing. The story idea was that Happosai, at the wedding, get's doused with
the Drowned Boy Water, and winds up in a cursed form of an 18 to 19 year old
boy(if you want the fic, check my Website, the fic'll be on there eventually).
I know that in the Manga he drinks the water without any effects, but that
aside I don't see why this isn't at least a valid **possibility**.
The problem with your fic is that it is slightly wrong. I am assuming
that you are using the anime continuity if you are not familar with the
manga. In the anime, it is specifically shown that Happosai looks
exactly the same as he does now, only younger unlike Cologne who was
very beautiful. This isn't a bad thing but it tends to leave a sour
taste in some mouths when you change parts that are taken as fact.
Now then, I don't own a single copy of the Manga(even the Vis versions), nor
do I own all the anime. The idea came from the mentionings of how specific
the curses tend to be. I personally believe the cursed figures age at the
same rate as their hosts. However, if the host is of a signifgantly different
age(say 300 years older) then the cursed form would be, then there is a
definite chance that the cursed from would be a different age WHEN THE PERSON
IS FIRST CURSED! Both forms should more than likely age normally(but
seperately) after that, in my opinion.
Oh? What about Taro? No idea how old the moster was, but I'm fairly
sure that the age of it would not be that of a baby. The thing with the
curses is that some of them are age specific. If a baby boy fell into
the spring of drowned girl, he would not be cursed to be a sixteen year
old for example.
The direct chinese translation of the spring Ranma fell is for example,
could be girl or young female or even daughter. But taken in context,
young female fits much better. Some have commented that Ranma has aged
because his cursed forms breasts grew. My reasoning for this is simply
that sixteen years of age can still be thought of as a young female.
Aging a year or even two would still make him a girl. I would say that
the moment his girl form reaches a the point before full maturity she
would stop aging. Until I see proof contrary to this, I will believe in
it.
Also, I am fairly certain that Cologne did know the nature of the
springs before she took Shampoo there for training. She probably cursed
her own granddaughter as punishment. If the cursed form aged regularily
and I figure that Shampoo stays in cursed form fairly regularily, she
would die in about 30+ years. I doubt that Cologne would do that one
purpose if that was the case.
IMHO, age is really up the the author to interpret. I don't think there
should be a defined way for this to be written. I've read many good
fics over the year that vary greatly on this little matter and would
like to continue to do so.
The whole thing is degenerating into a flame war about a contention that was
older then the hills when the ffml was created. Now then, if you want to
continue the discussion, emil me DIRECTLY!!!!!!!!! don't post what has(and
was from the begining) going to degenerate into a character/mechanics debate
on the ml. If you want to complain rudely(that thing wasn't really a flame)
about my fics, talk to me directly.
This is a mailing list of hundreds and nearing a thousand. New people
join on frequently. As long as it's relevant to fanfiction and Tybalt
does not ban it, concepts and ideas about character/mechanics will help
almost as much as they hurt. Besides people can always hit the delete
button, which some are probably doing right now. ^_^

about whether or not the water would or wouldn't youthen someone, email me
directly. And don't just say "Cause the manga says so". Give me a specific
event in the manga that explains your position, so i can consider it. Hey,
I'm open minded. If what I did was wrong, **politely** point out to me it was
wrong, and give a reason, so that I can correct it. If you want to talk about
whether the fic is a good piece of WRITING, whether or not it's in the right,
then you can post to the ml.
I think the water will youthen Happosai but not by drinking it. Since
the events did not exactly happen as they did in the manga, you may
consider having enough water spill on the pervert while he is drinking.
For further proof of what Happy might look like young, you need not look
further than Lukkosai in the manga.
