	Black Panther! pt 1
	Myrriden
Edited (of course) by Nick Casler
--------------------------------------------

Overall, an interesting piece, although I'm always leery of "new
technique" stories--they tend to snowball until the favored character
becomes little more than a tactical nuclear warhead. Personally, I've
tended to notice that the techniques of the Takahashi-verse seem to be
like the characters; each has its own drawback. Relying on any one
stunt is, ultimately, self-limiting.

As I said, though, I enjoyed the overall story. However, one major
plot hole, one minor nit, and a smartass comment:

And awoke to the incredible cold of a million droplets of water
crashing over his head, and the intense pain of Edd's startled quills
digging into his chest, of a ground-squirrel digging its teeth inth his
bicep.

"FUCK IT!" He screamed, rearing up, slamming a fist into his
attacker's face.
The teacher reared back, startled by the vehemence of the attack, and
the multiple strikes slamming into his face.

Since when did P-Chan have the ability to speak, or the power to
effectively attack? You splashed him with cold water, and forgot to
change him over.

"Kacchuu Tenshin Amiguriken!" Ryouga thundered, "Got ya, you
bastard!"

To the best of my knowledge, Ryouga never studied this
technique/training method (depends on who you ask). His trademark
strike is the Breaking Point attack. I realize this is after some time
has passed in the series, but you should at least mention that he's
picked up one of Ranma's techniques.

The teacher smiled, "Not everything is a battle, Ryouga. You may see
it that way, you may see nature as a million different battles." He
pointed to Edd, "Edd's family developed those quills to fend off
attackers. Birds
sing their territorial songs, trees develop poison to fend of beetles.
This is no battle, but life. Life exists in a circle that cannot be
broken. For years man has sought to work outside this circle.

*Suddenly, a dozen lawyers from Disney showed up and hauled off the
two martial artists. They were never seen again....*

Looking forward to chapter two!
