I hope you take this next part the right way: I can tell you're kind of new
at the fanfiction thing. What you should know is that when you get an idea
from another story, it's the custom to sort of send a nod in that direction
when you write your own story. While it seems to me that you've read my
story, it's also obvious that you have gone in a different direction and
that 99.99% of this is all your own. It's pretty good, too.
Well, for selfish reasons I'd like to see how you handle the KOR =
"realistic" versus Ranma = "fantastic" problem I mentioned earlier. I think
that is more likely to be a problem for you if you crossover the story lines
right here and go to where ever the story takes you. So... my vote (for
what it's worth) is to cross it here and let the chips fall where they may,
so to speak. If it takes a long time to write, so be it. As much as I
enjoy "A Different Viewpoint," that story is Chris's. I think you should
make this story yours. See what I mean?
Bob! Oh my gosh! It's true! I read your story and loved it! I said, this needs
more! (I also didn't have any idea I'd be writing fanfics in the future.) Been
almost a year now I think.
Your quote at the end is what clinched it for me, you have to be the guy who
wrote that fic, for it had the same quote at the end!
I certainly didn't mean to steal your spotlight. I'd be happy to add a mention
line in there (Something like "And special Thanks to Bob Barnes, who inspired me
to believe a KOR/Ranma Crossover was not only possible, but a really neat idea)
or something like that.
Thanks for writing.... Speaking of that fic... can you send me a copy or tell me
where I can read it? It's been so long since I read it, alot of the details are
a bit fuzzy, (and I really liked some of those details, seeing as I used at least
two in this fic so far. Ha! Sorry bout that didn't occur to me at the time.)
As for my decision, the votes are in... 17 to 0 in favor of the crossover, Messy
as it is going to get, I think I will enjoy writing it quite a bit. I just need
to hold onto KOR's mostly realistic tone VERY tightly, or it will rapidly get
silly.
