Um, kanji are the large, complicated figures that represent full or
partial words, rather than the simple, monosyllabic hiragana or
katakana.  It's a totally different system.



I stand corrected. BTW, what is the system for forming kanji. Reply privately of course, 
I expect it will be a long explanation or a website URL.
