That's just the tip of the iceberg. We're supposed to believe that
Akane's been like this all along? I don't think I can buy that.

Akane has never shown any real interest in any men other than Dr. Tofu
and (arguably) Ranma. If she really did want all those Furinkan boys
chasing after her, why did she fight with them instead of enjoying their
attentions? And if she didn't want them chasing after her, why use the
drug in the first place?

Why did she seem to react with genuine sadness, rather than jealous
possessiveness, when she found out she wasn't getting Tofu? And why did
she just kick Kuno away all the time, instead of using him? "Kuno, you'd
like to do a favor for little old me, wouldn't you? There's this girl
named Shampoo who's being a bother."
