Shin Tenchi is another different take on the Tenchi story.

The differences here are that the villians are more or less from Sailor
Moon, even Kiyone has a red thread hotline to Tenchi, Ryo-oh-ki transforms
into piloted forms (with the assistance of Sasami), Tenchi goes to college
and Aeyka is even more decadent than usual.
