Okay, even if that isn't what you meant, this has actually been done, and
is probably lying around somewhere on the RAAC, though I forget the title.
Some guy was messing around with Ranma anime tapes, and something goes
wrong bringing Ranma and Akane to the Real World. Eventually, he remembers
a fanfiction draft, and uses it to send them back.  Not the best piece of
writing I'd ever seen, but not that bad either.

	For what it's worth, you're probably remembering the fic 'The Great Anime 
Cross-over From Hell' where characters from Ranma, Robotech, and many other 
anime's, including Trantor Z end up in Washington DC with various assorted 
otaku, including the famous (infamous?) Chris Willmore, among others.

	This wasn't actually a revengefic, unless you can call several of the more 
famous otaku getting stuck with tranformation sticks taken from the DIC'ed 
version of Sailor Moon and being transformed in the Sailor Otaku's. Hehehehe..

	Lemme see.. Erin Mills, Chris Willmore, and Nick Liefker were the guilty 
parties, if I recall.. ^_^ Also featured Kun-chan in a cameo (she gets to 
ravish Ryouga. ^_^)

	And between Sailor Slacker, Sailor Spam, and Sailor Sadist.. hehehe. It's a 
good read, albeit never fully finished. (That I know of)
