Okay, alright!
I finally have time to post a fic, instead of a short!
(I'm pretty sure most of you are glad after that stinger.)
Anyway this is a crossover of an original idea
and SM, so if there's any confusion I'll be glad to suppliment parts,
(Operators are standing by.)
This is a rough, so view it as such, (come on I don't have that much time).
I'd like to thank Lord Talon once more for prereading and
helping me with writing parts of this chapter, and probably
pulling his hair out waiting for me to post this.
C&C is welcome and appreciated.
Now without further ado. . .
Terrible Things To Waste
Part 2: The Enemy Has a Name
A large metallic power suit flew across downtown Tokyo and came
to the threshold of a warehouse near the edge of the city. It
approached the loading platform within where an aged man with
grey hair waited patiently. The old man dressed in a type of
spartan military uniform. The red neon light outside cut
through the darkness, giving the worn wrinkles on the old man's
face an eerie siloutte.
"Ah, there you are, Malance. Explain your tardiness." the
echoes bounced around the bare platform.
"Upon my return, I detected a temporal distrubance," the large
metallic oddity moved closer, and finally stopping in the path
of red light revealing its damaged armor.
"I take it that you ran into an unexpected guest then? The
Timelord, I am assuming?" the old man paced around the platform
with red light reflecting off the rigid structure of his face.
Malance noted the cold, calculated face remained calm.
Like a calm before the storm.
"Yes, General Halebit." the operator tried to hide his
nervousness with decisiveness.
"No matter, I anticipated such an event that Tracer would
survive." the man shot out impateintly, as he pondered;
'He knows how to use the sword.'
The general waved his hand at his loyal soldier, "Leave my
pupil and patrol the area for any sign of our Timelord."
Malance respectively nodded and made his exit from the
warehouse. Once the power suit was out in the street, it
charged up its thrusters and flew into the starry skyline of the
city. The old man slowly paced around the platform thinking
over this new development.
Halebit had made sure that he had covered all the expected and
even some impossible problems. Tracer's survival was one he
anticipated, considering Tracer's father also had the same
irritating habit. Yet the general failed to figure out who
informed the timelord as to their location in this dimension.
Halebit pondered for a moment and looked out into the thick
darkness where his soldier had occupied and stated, "He's loyal,
maybe too loyal."
Quite uexpectedly, the old man felt a sharp shot of coldness
hit his gut that spread to his chest. He could feel the
overbearing weight of coldness press upon him, and his shoulders
began to shiver. Then his hands began to shake uncontrollably.
He fought for control of his body, but his addiction had taken
over. He collapsed to his knees holding his quivering fists to
his face. He began to panic and his thoughts were bouncying
around in his head, making them uncomprehensible. Only one
thought prevailed however:
'I must have more crystals. I must have them NOW!'
Then Halebit screamed in agony.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sandy haired woman stared adoringly at her lover seated
across from her. She studied with painful detail the soft
contours of her face, created by the iridescence of the
candlelight. Her eyes followed those contours to her wavy green
mane that engulfed her lover's shoulders in a crashing crest of
hair. She was glad for the opprotunity to have a romantic
dinner, since parenthood thrusted itself upon them once
becoming the foster parents for Victoria. Though having the
child inhibited their normal activities, taking care of the
youngester made her and lover, the green haired goddess before
her, closer than ever conceived. Maybe one day, if at all
possible, they might have their own true offspring. Beautiful
offspring.
"Damn it, Michelle. You're beautiful when you eat." the sandy
haired woman stated in a sign.
Her green haired partner smiled gently at the comment, "Erica,
according to you, everything I do is beautiful."
Erica sat up in attention and flashed a wry smile, "Do you
doubt my taste?"
Michelle slowly rested her head on her palms and gave Erica her
patented coy look, "Not at all."
Erica snatched her beloved's hand and gave it a sensual kiss,
making the recipiant blush slightly. Erica could feel the
romantic mood escalating, but, unfortunately, a flash of red
light extinguished it quickly. The two women snapped their
heads towards the source of the flash where they saw a tan woman
and a blonde stranger. The blonde woman shot a confused look
toward the Time Guardian, who ignored her and addressed the two
women seated at the table.
"Sailor Uranus and Salior Neptune, by orders of the Queen, I
ask you to protect and guard this Traveller until her quest is
accomplished." the tanned woman spoke with an official tone.
"Huh?" Erica coughed.
The blonde woman standing beside the Time Guardian blinked for
a moment, as if in awe struck. The woman briskly crossed the
room towards the dinner table.
"I can't believe this, I'm actually getting to meet Haruka and
Michiru, the two most famous lovers ever known across the
dimensions!" the blonde woman gushed excitedly.
"Who?" the wavy green haired girl asked politely concealing
her confusion at the situation.
The blonde Traveller paused, pondering for a moment and slowly
spoke, "I'm sorry, I must have the wrong people, but you are
Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus right?"
"Um, yes." Michelle drew out.
Erica blinked a few more times, "What's this about most famous
love-"
Michelle quickly cut in, causing her companion to give a look
of contempt, "Pluto, why does the Queen want to assist this
woman?"
"The Traveller had convinced the Queen to assist her in
defeating the Travellers that tracked her to this dimension."
Pluto stated flatly.
"Wait a moment," Erica put her hands up in frustration as she
asked Pluto, "What are these Travellers and why did the
Neo-Queen of the future sent her here?"
"I am an inter-dimensional time traveler and actually it wasn't
the Neo-Queen, it was, um, Serena, I believe." the blonde
Traveller smiled politely.
"What!?" both Michelle and Erica exclaimed.
Pluto avoided their eyes, "She is technically the Queen, and I
must obey her orders, or risk possible losing her confidence
from her future self, but I will ensure that this Traveller will
not cause any folly. This I promise. Now if you will excuse me
I must return to the Time Gate."
The tanned woman brought her staff upright and the red orb
gained in intensity and with a flash of red light she
disappeared once more. The two lovers narrowed their eyes in
frustration. They had disliked the suddenness of Time
Guardian's missions, and though they had an obligation as Sailor
Neptune and Uranus to follow these missions, they never enjoyed
them.
The blonde Traveller smiled nervously at the two women who
stood silently before her, "Um, my name is Xendyte, or Cindy.
Which ever you prefer."
Erica sized up the nervous woman, she had long blonde hair that
was held back in a pony tail. She also had wide, dark blues
eyes, that coveyed a sense of deep pain. Then Erica's eye
caught the reflection of the woman's bracelet on her left hand.
The bracelet was composed of red rubies in a diamond shape and
connected at the tips around her wrist. Erica then noticed the
poor condition of the woman's uniform, with assorted rips and
tears and infested with dirt. Erica quickly scanned the rest of
the woman's physical features as her partner greeted her.
"Yes, nice to meet you." Michelle cautiously approached the
blonde woman, "I'm Michelle and this is Erica."
The sandy haired woman nodded in response still keeping her
scruntizing eyes on Xendyte, "Tell me, why are you being
tracked?"
The blonde woman shifted nervously from Erica's bluntness, "I'm
a rebel fighting against the Counsule, the ruling corrupt
government of my world. They have sent their Timelords to track
me down and destroy me."
"Who are these Timelords?" Michelle's eyes narrowed with
confusion.
"They are trained bio-tech enhanced soldiers that keep the
order of the Counsule." the blonde woman stated coldly.
"Bio-tech?" Erica leaned forward, intrigued.
"Technology that uses machines to interact with our bodies."
Xendyte explained.
"Anything interesting about you that you'd like to share with
us." Michelle smiled, trying to change the mood of their
interrogation.
The blonde woman paused, forcing herself to withhold the
swelling of emotion building within her.
Flashes of the bloody massacre of her family popped into head
as she thought about the Timelords that killed her family. The
sounds of the dying came to her as blurred images of heavily
armed Timelords attacked her innocent family. Silver shot red
blood everywhere, her family's blood, on her, on a Timelord's
swords, on the hands of that Timelord, grinning in enjoyment of
death and hacvoc being produced. She could bearly take anymore
of the scene, but she focused upon the question at hand.
'As long it isn't about their murder, I'll be okay.' she
thought desperately to herself trying to keep her composure.
"Yeah, like what did this Counsule do to cause you rebel,
anyway?" Erica shot out casually.
Michelle sensed something wrong, indicated by the quivering of
the blonde woman's lip and the tears building in her eyes. The
green haired woman softly placed her hand on the Xendyte's
shoulder.
"I think we can question her more tomorrow. She looks like
she's been through a lot." Michelle said softly as she shot a
critcal glance at her partner, who shrugged innocently.
"You can sleep on the sofa in the living room," Michelle turned
to Erica, "Eric, could you get some extra blankets from the hall
closet."
Erica huffed and left, as Michelle directed the blonde woman to
the living room. Erica showed up with the blankets and dropped
them of the sofa. Xendyte thank the two for their hospitality
and bid them goodnight.
Once the couple left the room, the blonde woman wearily laid
down on the couch and spread the blankets over herself. The
blonde woman tried to ease her mind congested with the terrible
images of her family's gruesome death, but they didn't stop.
She so loved her family, she couldn't understand what
all-powerful force of Fate decided to take them away from her.
She could never forget what happened that day, never;
She remembered the arid wind of the desert licking her face, as
she strained forward with her mother who was carrying a young
child in her arms. She used the sheath on her head to prevent
the sand from blurring her vision. She saw her father keeping a
very diligent pace across the sand which caused her to wonder
what his hurry was.
"Dad, hold up!" she yelled.
The man stopped and turned around, "Come on, hurry up, we got
to keep going."
The young woman ran towards her father, so she didn't have to
yell, "Dad, what's going on?"
The man froze and nervously adjusted his glasses as he said,
"Uh, the Counsule just gave me some extra credits for developing
the new AI system in their building, you know the one you helped
me on, and I thought we'd go to one of those paradise
dimensions. Um, anyway, I just want to get there in a hurry."
"Are you sure." she questioned as she sensed the sound of
guilt in his voice.
The man avioded his daughter's stare as the woman carrying the
child yelled towards them, "Could someone take Seamus, he's
getting heavy."
The young woman smiled and turned to the older woman, "Sure
Mom, I'll take the little rascal off your hands."
The older woman gave the dark haired child to her daughter, and
signed with relief as got rid her heavy load. The older woman
ran up to her mate as the young woman carried her brother who
was stirring.
"Cindy, are we there yet?" the little brown haired boy rubbed
his sleepy eyes.
"I'm not sure, Sam." Her apprehension about the underlying
reasons they were making this trip was getting to her, why were
they so far away from the Community before traveling to this
dimension? What was causing her father to be so nervous?
Then Fate answered her question as a shimmer of light appeared
just ahead. The shimmers grew to a dazzling brightness and
disapated to reveal four soldiers in heavy armor carrying an
assortment of weapons, all four had most of their faces covered
by a visor. The lead soldier took a step forward and approached
menacingly
toward the man shaking nervously.
"Xavier, chief technician of sheild technology, there is
evidence of your association with the rebel group known as the
Society, sentencible by death. How do you plead?" the soldier
smiled wickedly at the cowering man.
"Please listen to me Timelord, I'm not apart of the Society,
please believe me!" the man begged as his mate standing next to
him narrowed her eyes.
The young woman stared in disbelief at the situation at hand.
"What is the meaning of this!" the older woman exclaimed in
rage.
The Timelord responded by punching the woman in the face and
smiled with sick pleasure.
"In the name of the Counsule, I hereby sentence you to death."
After that she decided not to remember, the image of their
deaths had always tortured her soul.
She knew she would have been dead, if not for the Society's
intervention on that day. Yet that lead to a whole other new
ordeal when she first met the general of the Society. It was
right after the attack, she remembered the general with his
brown with white streaks running through it, he looked like he
hadn't aged well. A group of soldiers accompanied him to greet
her.
She remembered the man offered his hand to her and said dryly,
"I am your savior, General Halebit of the Society. I am sorry
about your family, the Timelords who killed them will pay, I am
sure."
In her grand grief of realizing her loss, she couldn't really
remember her first conversation with the general, but she did
remember how uncomfortable she felt by his forward and cold
mannerisms. The feeling never subsided, and she made it a
point to avoid him. Since the Society was run like a military
operation by the 'General,' as he insisted on being called, she
had no time to grieve. Halebit imediately started training her
to make into a soldier, make her useful. She remembered how
much she hated the grueling workout sessions that he personally
attended.
He would stare at her with scrutiny during those sessions and
due to that fact she finally she lost it.
"Damn it, Halebit, I don't have to take this anymore!" she had
screamed towards the general, "All you are nothing more than a
tyrant! You're no better than the Counsule!"
The old man just stared at her coldly as the entire group
glared at her for speaking such blasphemy. She quickly sulked
away and silently continued on as the general's eyes followed
her more closely.
After her public outburst, the other Society soldiers gave her
nasty looks and made threats. She then resided to putting on
a false smile and blamed her outburst on fatigue, but inside her
rage and anger over the loss of her family still burned.
Fortunately the Society soldiers memory of her outburst soon
subsided, but Halebit never forgot. He constantly reminded her
of her family's death, reopening infected wounds. Her
punishment. He even promoted her to second in command to make
her mental torture by his hands unescapable. She could see
first hand just how cruel and powerful Halebit was. She
remembered once time of one such an occurance;
The assembly was quieted as the general walked across the
platform toward the crowd of Society soldiers. The general
scanned the crowd of soldiers and methodically spoke.
"My fellow soldiers," the general's voice boomed in the
silence of the attentive crowd, "I, your general, express my
satifaction with your prowess in our battle against the
Counsule. . ."
Cindy quickly lost attention of the general's words. They were
boring and false, and plus it would be her fourth time to hear
them. The general usually would do a tour of small groups of
soldiers to give his speeches, knowing that having the Society
in one large group would be strategically unwise.
"Then there are those who offer us nothing in this battle, and
I plan to make an example of . . ." the general motioned off to
one of the soldiers to his right to bring in the example.
This unusual action got Cindy's attention. She noticed the
example being dragged across the platform was one of the new
recruits who constantly experienced paralyzing attacks during
battles. Cindy felt disgusted anticipation at the general's aim.
"Now I will show you I do not hesitate to erraticate weakness."
the man's face expressed growing fear at the general's words.
The hands of the general started to glow red with power and the
man began to levetate off the platform. The crowd eagerly
stared at the scene as the man began to claw at his throat and
struggle for air. Halebit intensified his stare at the man.
Suddenly a sickening crunch was heard and the man went limp.
Halebit gazed at his loyal servants as they cheered leaving
Cindy horrified at the spectacle. She then realized it was how
he exerted control, and that's all he wanted, control. It was
then she promised herself she would bring an end to Halebit's
tyranny of the Society and of her.
The blond woman blinked, finding herself staring up at the
smooth white ceiling of Michelle and Erica's apartment. She
yawned. It seemed sleep finally decided to return to her. She
narrowed her eyes and scowled at the specs on the ceiling.
'And with the Scouts' help, I plan to keep that promise,' she
thought before she drifted into slumber.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sun slowly crept over the horizon, as a man wearing a dusty
trenchcoat passed infront of shops sharing cramped spacing with
other shops that were just now opening for business. The man
had jet black haired that sheilded the edges of his face from
the light rays of the sun, the man looked in deep thought as he
ignored the bustling crowd of people off to work.
The man was a preditator, a hunter, he had a target and wasn't
to give up until he fond his prey. That was the mindset of a
Timelord, be the hunter, the Society was your prey. The man
thought a moment on the whereabouts of his prey, and what they
wanted from this dimension. He knew that of a group of powerful
beings existing in this time stream, but he wasn't much for
names and history. The man had a feeling that if he could find
these beings, his prey wouldn't be too far behind. The man
paused as something caught the corner of his eye. He turned and
saw a newspaper being displayed, protected by the casing of a
steel. The man noticed a slot where one would have to deposit
coins to gain access to the paper within.
The man growled to himself at his predicament and pondered a
solution. A moment later the man smirked.
"Tracer, you're a genius." the man breathed to himself while
flexing his right hand.
The action caused the lower part of his right arm became
engulfed in a silver liquid. It spread to cover his hand and
extended past his fingers to come to a sharp point at each
finger. The man took his index finger and inserted it into the
slot. After prodding around the inside of slot and getting no
results, the black haired man jabbed three of the sharp fingers
into the top crevise of the metal door and ripped it open. The
man snatched a newspaper quickly walked around from the scene of
the crime.
The man read the headline that first caught his eye:
"Where Are They Now: An Update on the Mysteriously Heroic
Sailor Scouts."
The picture underneath, though really caught his eyes. It was
a picture of a girl wearing a tiara and a skippy dress, but her
hair style made her stand out in his mind. The two pig tails of
hair jutting out of her head, a style similar to the woman in
his vision that led him to this dimension. The vision was still
vivid in his mind, the woman was so beautiful, especially her
large, expressive lovely blue eyes that reminded him of. . . of.
. .
The man shook his head and focused at the situation at hand,
figuring out what Halebit wanted with theses Scouts. Suddenly
one historical term stood out in his mind.
"The Silver Crystal." he whispered to himself.
The man quickly read the article:
". . .The Scouts have made numerous appearances around the city
stopping crimes and defeating monsters. Yet one place has had
the most sightings of the Scouts, Cherry Hill Temple. . . "
The man dropped the paper as he left found a new target
destination.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The morning sun welcomed three girls as they came to the Cherry
Hill Temple. The three chatted idly as another girl came
running toward them as fast as she could. The others turned to
their tardy friend:
"Man, you're late again. I thought you had promised to get
better at this?" scolded a tall, lean brown haired girl.
"Geez, this is really bad habit you've gotten yourself into."
comment a blonde girl holding a tray of cookies with a red
ribbon in hair.
"Yeah what kept you, Amy?" Serena turned her exhausted blue
haired friend.
The blue haired girl took a moment to recover her breath and
huffed, "Sorry, I'm late. I was talking with Greg this morning,
and - "
The three girls got strange looks on their faces, like starved
dogs approaching a piece of meat. Amy quickly went silent
realizing her mistake, but it was too late.
The brown haired nudged Amy in the side and chimed, "It's
getting pretty hot between the two of you, huh?"
The blonde girl next to Serena moved to the other side of the
blue haired girl and spoke with a tone of contriversy, "So have
you guys kissed yet?"
Amy's face turned to a dark shade of red as she squeaked,
"Let's not keep Raye waiting."
"She's right you guys, you know how Raye can get if you keep
her waiting too long." Serena urged much to Amy's comfort.
The four girls entered the temple and went to Raye's room to
find Serena's black feline, Luna, and Reenie informing a girl
with black hair dressed in white robes of a priestess about the
events of the previous night. Raye was sitting on her bed as
Luna and Reenie sat on the floor across from her.
"Hello Raye, how are you?" Amy asked politely as she entered.
"Fine, considering we're starting late again." the black
haired girl growled.
Raye couldn't believe the tardy streak Amy was running lately,
and it wasn't like her, considering she always used to be early
to these meeting.
Amy lowered her head in shame and spoke softly, "I am really
sorry."
"Raye, give her a break, I mean she finally has the social life
you always critized her for not having." Serena defended.
Raye got right in Serena's face, her brow arched down, giving
Serena a nasty look, "Listen, Meatball-head, I wasn't getting
after her about her social life, I'm getting after her about
delaying our meetings."
Serena narrowed her eyes, but spoke in an calm and tempered
tone, "Raye, just give her a break."
Serena's calmness fueled Raye's temper more, but before she
could explode the brown haired girl interupted Raye's impending
tantrum.
"Alright, enough with the fighting, we have some serious
problems we have to cover." she said sternly using her height
to further impose the order.
"Fine, Lita. Let's get going." Raye spat as the others sat in
a circle near Raye's bed.
Raye's temper quickly cooled down at the prospect of angering
Lita, considering the height, weight, and fighting experience
she had over her.
As Luna coughed trying to get the meeting started, a white blur
streaked from the rafters directing its course with the black
cat. Unfortunately, poor aiming caused the white blur to
narrowly miss Serena cause it to tumble until it lost its
momentum. The group whirled around to see a white, male cat
with a cresent moon, similar to Luna's, on his forehead laying
upside-down on the floor. As the cat tried to regain his sense
of balance the blond girl shook her head and giggled;
"Nice try Artemis. However, you missed Luna by about three
feet."
The white cat managed to grin at his owner, "Keeping in
practice, the enemy can strike when you least expect!"
The other talking cat groaned, "I should really start hiding
that catnip better."
Her partner's unbroken grin was his only response.
The blond girl gingerly set down her tray of cookies in the
middle of the circle, "Okay who wants cookies! They're fresh
from the oven!"
"Thanks Mina!" Reenie exclaimed as she picked up a cookie, "I
hope these are as good as the last batch!"
Usually the girls would cautiously approach anything that Mina
would make, but under with the proper instruction from someone
experinced Mina had proven she could cook. Everyone quickly dug
into the pile of cookies and took one giant bite out their sugar
enriched treat. But once the taste settled onto their tongues
everyone spit out their bite.
"Man, Mina what happend?" Raye said in between coughs.
The blonde girl had a look of utter confusion for a reason her
cookies tasted so bad, "I followed Lita's recipe exactly as it
said, like she told me to."
The dumbfounded blonde girl produced the list out of her
pocket, which Raye quickly snatched.
Raye read over the ingredients carefully and remarked, "Mina,
which sugar did you put in the mix?"
"Of course I put in the white stuff in the can with the 'S' on
it. . ." Mina retorted.
Amy interupted her before she got any futher, "You know salt is
also white like sugar and it starts with an 'S.'"
"And the sugar at home is marked 'Sugar.'" the white cat added.
Mina lost all her wind after her cat and Amy took it from her.
She bowed her head in embarassment, "Oh. Heh, heh, sorry."
"Can we start now?" Luna asked impatiently as the girls put
down their cookies, "Anyway as I told Raye and Artemis earlier,
this time traveler, calling herself Cindy, has asked us for our
help, and Serena convinced Pluto to let her stay here, promising
her our help."
"Yeah without our consent." Raye shot in, causing Serena to
frown slightly.
Luna continued, "And Serena wanted to know what you thought of
all this before she proceeded further."
"I for one, would like to talk to this Cindy women, before I
can trust her." Raye spouted insolently as she crossed her arms
in front of her chest..
"I must agree with Raye on this one, Serena," Amy declared, "It
would be wise to further question her to come to any absolute
judgement of trust."
The other girls nodded in approval at this and Raye smiled
smugly at Serena. Serena had resisted to bring Cindy before the
Scouts since it would involve Pluto, and did not want to face
her penetrating stared once more. Yet Serena knew that her
actions were futile, the others were still too sceptical of her
judgement. Serena signed in defeat and turned to Reenie.
"Reenie, will you please call Pluto on your Luna-P, and ask her
to bring Cindy here at our request." Serena calmly ordered her
daughter.
All the girls gave Serena a strange look of shock as Reenie
hesitantely picked up a round black ball, closely resembling a
deformed cat head, and pressed a sequence of buttons on the
eyes, nose, and mouth. After a moment for the Luna-P to
compute, an image of Pluto's face appeared in the mouth.
"Yes Small Lady?" the dark green haired woman asked with
reserve irritation.
Reenie detected some irritation in Pluto's voice, making her
slightly uncomfortable, "Uh, Serena, by the other Scouts
request, um, would like you to bring Cindy here. . . Please?"
Pluto felt a tinge of frustration across her brow. She did not
have to comply, but she did not want to risk discrediting her
reputation with Serena of the future. She came to the
conclusion that the other girls' ridcule would change Serena's
decision, and she wouldn't loose any face with the Neo-Queen.
Pluto paused before answering, "As the Queen wishes."
Instantly the image in the mouth went blank, and Pluto appeared
before them with the blonde Traveller. The other girls gasped
in unison at her sudden appearance, and smiled nervously. The
blond, just now figuring what happened, smiled back.
"Uh, hi. It's nice to finally meet you all." the blonde woman
stampered, "You must be the infamous Sailor Scouts, right?"
"Yeah, uh, hi, to you too. I suppose." Mina eyes darted
around at the other girls, who were still trying to find words
to say, "So, do ya want a cookie? Freshly made this morning by
yours truly."
As the others were about to warn Cindy, someone approached the
door to Raye's room.
"Hey, Raye, are you in there!" came a young male voice, as the
panel door slid open.
"Oh, no its Chad!" Raye exclaimed as she leaped at the door
slamming it shut.
"Raye!" came Chad voice in surprise, "What's was that for?"
Raye held the closed, desperately trying to think of an excuse.
She couldn't let him see Pluto or the woman or he'd figure them
out and blabber it to the newspaper.
"We're talking about private things Chad, you know girl stuff,"
she shouted sternly through the door, "So buzz off!"
Chad stepped back from the door, and frowned, now he had to
sweep the grounds by himself. He started to walk away as he
muttered under his breath, "Isn't it a little early to be that
time of the month again?"
THWAT!
The bristles of a broom responded by striking Chad on the back
of his head. He spun around to be met with an glowering Raye
holding a broom posed to strike again.
"Be glad there aren't any mallets handy." she growled and she
slammed the door.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back inside Raye's room, the girls pondered questions to ask
the blonde Traveller.
"So how is it possible for you to travel through time," Lita
asked cautiously, "I thought it was scientifically impossible,
considering quantem theory and all."
The other girls were completely surprised that Lita had such a
high understanding of physics, considering she nearly failed
Algebra.
Lita felt uneasy at the others blank stares, "What? I happen to
think Einstein is cute, that's all."
The blonde Traveller laughed and answered her question, "I'm
not sure exactly, but it had something to do with event my
people called Genesis Accident. Apparently this accident
ripped a hole through time and space causing all the survivors
to - "
Amy's loud gasp interupted Cindy's explaination. Serena
noticed Amy was operating her advanced pocket computer that
Luna gave her. Serena was always amazed what Amy could make
that small thing do, from scanning whole wide areas to detecting
when danger was near. Serena always knew Amy found something
unusual when she gasps while operating her small computer.
"What is it Amy?" Serena asked with great concern.
Amy brought her eyes to the Traveller and pointed with a
quivering finger, "She inorganic!"
"English, Amy, English!" Raye shouted.
"She's 75% metal!" Amy exclaimed.
The blonde woman stood firm against the girls' now suspicious
stares, and fought off the feeling that the Time Guardian
cracked a smile at her predicament, "Calm down, I was going to
explain that. As a result of the Genesis Accident, we were
blessed with dimensional travelling, but we were cursed with
mercury. You see, all desendents of those survivors have the
same condition, their blood slowly turns to mercury, and we die
of blood poisoning."
"So how did you guys survive?" Reenie asked in earnest.
The Traveller smiled softly at the young child and continued,
"One man developed a technology that used machines that would
run off the mercury in our blood, and it helped our vital organs
to function. Bio-technology."
"So little machines are running your heart?" Mina questioned.
The blonde woman nodded.
"Interesting." Amy pondered.
Cindy smiled, as well as Serena. Raye frowned.
"Who is it that's trying to kill you?" Lita asked.
Cindy pondered this a moment, "The Counsule. They are the
corrupted leaders of my people that I rebelled against. They
sent two of their Timelords, or soldiers, here to this
dimension, their names are Malance and his superior Halebit. They are very
dangerous and ruthless."
"I see. How do we know you're not in league with them?" Raye
questioned suspiciously.
Serena stood up and came in Cindy's defense before Cindy could
respond, "She had suffered at their hand, isn't that proof
enough. I've seen first hand the pain she went through. Look
at her eyes, you can't fake such a deep lingering pain like."
Raye was speechless as the others.
Pluto sensed the power of the crystal eminating. She looked
closely at the crystal situated in Serena's brooch that hung
from the collar of her shirt. She found it such a strange
oddity that Serena's Silver Crystal would respond to her
emotions like it did. Very strong emotions.
The Time Guardian signed, now knowing that the Traveller had won.

Chad rubbed the back of his head, and shuttered at the thought
of Raye chasing after him with a huge mallet around the shrine.
Chad found a broom and reluctantly started to sweep around the
shrine without giving it much more thought. He wondered why
Raye treated him so rudely in front of her friends, even though
by her own private confessions that she really liked him. She
could always act so strangely at times, but Chad just shrugged
it off as one of those 'women things'. Chad continued to sweep
unaware of a tall dark stranger standing at the temples
entrance, until he nearly walked into him. Chad, jolted back to
reality, looked at the stranger who had his back turned to him.
"Uh, very sorry, sir." Chad shot out quickly as he
apologetically brushed the wrinkled material of the stranger's
dusty trenchcoat, "Would you like a charm or a fire reading?"
The stranger turned around, giving Chad a good look at the
vetical scar along the right side of his face. He stared
intently at Chad's face, making the young man noticably nervous.
Chad felt the strangers intense stares through the thick brown
hair covering the upper half of his face. The stranger smirked
at the young man's reaction;
"No, I'm just scouting around, and taking my time."
The man patted his sword hidden by his trenchcoat, that
unbeknowest to him glowed with intensity.
