Yayy!
I note that it was some eight months ago when TA: 1996 began its
*epic* journey (^_^;;)
into being. Some time around July of 1997 I first read (and printed)
all of TA: 2937 and
began day dreaming of all the stories that could come into being within
the great stage
that Davies' had created for anime to play in. TA:1996 began on
September 15th (a
pivotal date always) -- after all, Serena Usagi Tsukino gets married on
that date...
then again, a certain author's birthday also falls on that day too...
^_^;;
It was always with great delight that the chapters for TA: 1996 came
out in roughly
monthly (or was it a bit later ?) bits and I even managed to finally
pick up TA: 1996-5
last week (^_^;;). And so it goes...I'll have about another years time
to wait and watch
for the evolution and growth of TA: Silver Millennium :).
When I opened up my mailbox (it's always open) right after dealing
with a grouchy
courier company (FEDEX) the first thing that popped out was that
Davies-san had
posted up TA: 1996-e....and then when I read the cc:/
listing.....wow...I could
honestly say that I did indeed recognize many of the recognized anime
fanfiction writers
on that listing.
Going in order, it would have been: Tim Nolan (Awakenings, and
Obligations);
David Olivier (No Time for Generals, Oaths and Promises, as well as
Seeman Mond),
Will Wolfshohl (archiver of Tux. Will) (co-writer of Tales of Younger
Venus/Earth.. and other
looooong fics); Laura Hudson (Ripples and others...); Robin Seabaugh
(Justification is in Order
as well as a hostess for the 1997 Chicken Ball Awards); JetWolf (Lunar
Eclipse series; Pity the
Child); Jeff Hosmer (Angel of Lightness and Angel of Darkness...as well
as parts of the SMZ
series with John Biles; not to mention Girls Night Out); Ken Wolfe
(Secrets, Kiss of the Enemy
and others); Peter L. Ward (Ah! Megami-sensei); Andrew Huang (Neon
Genesis Evanjellydonut)
and the last on the list was the mega-SMR archivists: the kitties...
As always, the ways that this story is linked to everything else that
Davies-san has written
are almost too many to count. But I will try... ^_^ <never could resist
a challenge properly..>

Epilogue
Within a month of the conclusion of these events, Darien proposed to
Serena,
and a date was set for their wedding -- the events of which have been
discussed elsewhere.

Minako's relationship with Aethan DeGales disintegrated further over the
next decade, though it was never actually "broken off" until his death
in
2034. Her sanity, which had never been too firm in any event, was
severely rocked by this and other tragedies, speeding her
disintegration.
cf. Celebrations, TA:2937, Apotheosis
The friendship between Raye, Ayeka, and Shampoo, fostered by Urd,
continued to grow. All four of them frequently gathered for a floating
poker game, until Urd, with her sisters, was summoned back to Heaven in
the first few years of the twenty-first century. The three who remained
continued to play, however.

Belldandy and Keiichi never married. He disappeared at roughly the same
time that Belldandy was made to leave the Earth behind. The Ultimate
Force saw to it that they were together always, though in a way that
caused
great chaos under heaven.
Patience Masefield -- or Shinobu Masefield, as she preferred to be
called
-- grew up into an attractive, vibrant young woman who never showed any
evidence of possessing superhuman powers, beyond having a caring heart.
She eventually married a young man who was, unbeknownst to himself, a
descendant of the Czar of all the Russias, and their only daughter
achieved a considerable degree of notoriety. Patricia was last seen at
her daughter's wedding, in 2014, after which she disappeared from
history.
