Can someone send me an e-mail letting me know this has gone through. My

What has come before;
What happens when a roommate forgets to turn off the iron.
In one fell swoop all the anime universes are consumed in fire and an Otaku
looses his mind and becomes a fanfiction author. Only Washu remains to make
things right. Or can she.

Shinji stood looking over the city. This was the same spot that Misato had
taken him to when she had taken him to his new home. This was the same spot
that he had sat with Asuka and Rei. He missed them all so much. Even Ritsuko
and Kaji, who hed never really gotten to know. It seemed now that he might
never get to know them, or his father.
"Washu turn it off." Shinji said into the air.
His surroundings wavered around him and finally dissapeared to resemble a
large room with a light grid on the floors, walls and ceiling. A door
appeared out of nowhere and out stepped the young girl who had saved him.
"Thanks Washu. It was just to hard. Its not the home I remember."
"Im sorry Shinji. I thought it might help you until we get things back to
normal."
"It was just so dead. So lifeless. I dont want to come back here again."
Washu nodded and then stepped through the door, Shinji following closely
behind.
The two of them stepped into an area the resemble a mix of kitchen and lab.
It was where the two of them spent most of their time when Washu wasnt
trying to restore the universe. Shinji walked over to the refrigerator and
pulled out two sodas, a Dr. Pepper tasting one and a Crme soda for Washu.
She loved the sugar high it gave her.
"I know youve explained this to me before Washu, but how did the universe
die?"
"Not just the universe Shinji, all the universes. All of the parrallel
universes ever to exist were wiped out in fire. I dont know where it came
from but I do know that Im not going to just give up."
"Could it have been the angles?"
"No I dont think so. That would mean that god destroyed everything. I have
trouble believing that. What I have even more trouble believing is that you
managed to survive. You say that when it happened you were in that
monstrosity called an EVA. Its not strong enough to have protected you when
whole planets were destroyed."
"Isnt it possible that Asuka and Rei are still alive? If I survived then
they should have to."
"Ive scanned Shinji. In the entire universe the only things alive are on
this ship."
"Oh."
"Dont look so glum its not going to be like that forever. With you around
Ive managed to gain valuable data on your universe."
"You mean youll be able to restore things as they should be."
"Im trying Shinji, Im trying."
At that the two sat and stared at their sodas for a while before Washu
stood up and made her way toward her computer and began punching equations
into it.
"Poor boy," she thought. "Hes lost everything but hes still so strong. He
s so like Tenchi. Hes placed his faith in me and I wont let him down."
Shinji finished his drink and looked over at Washu, she was concentrating so
hard on her screen he didnt want to disturb her. He threw his can into the
air, trusting the trash service Washu had installed and watched as the can
dissappeared into some.space. He got up and made his way to the hanger. It
still amazed him that this place was so big. He didnt understand how Washu
had managed to make all of this out of nothing but he sure was glad.
After making his way through the many corridors of the ship he found himself
staring down at his Unit 01. Its main armor plating was ripped and burned
almost to nothingness. The eyes stared listlessly into space. He had floated
in there for a long time before Washu had picked him up. He thought he would
die of starvation or lack of oxygen or something but during the time he had
been trapped he had never grown hungry, never needed more air. Washu had
described it as the ambiotic properties of the LCL. He didnt understand
exactly what she meant but he was sure it was important.
Looking at the EVA he thought back to his time at NERV. Rei in bandages,
Asuka on the flight deck of the "Over the Rainbow", Touji hitting him,
hitting Touji, Camping with Kensuke, the syncronization affair with Asuka,
pulling Rei out of the downed Unit 00, Misatos driving and drinking, Kajis
comments to him during their first lunch together, Ritsuko doingwell
Ritsuko things.
"I will not run away, I will wait for all of you."
And with that Shinji took one last look at Unit 01 and turned around making
his way back to his room. He had some studying to do if he was going to help
Washu.
Washu looked up at the beeping monitor above her and noticed it asking for
permission to release information. Scanning over the request quickly she
approved it.
"So Shinjis trying to learn transdimensional physics is he? Well lets hope
the boy is worth a little help. I guess well see."
