Hi Everybody! (Hi Dr. Mark!)
Well, I recived this message a while back, and I knew it was a good
idea. Not the minute I read it, but the thought stuck with me for more
than a day, so I knew I had struck gold:

Oh, and I've been reading the FFML for about a year, so I'm not a newbie. I've also published several short stories in Asimov and Analog science fiction magazines. But, I don't want to get flamed, and I definatly do not want to screw this up.
hunt me down for sport if I didn't finish some of my current stories
first. I had this idea while watching Escaflowne for the umpteenth
time...
It's your average X-files crossover wannabe. However, any Earth-based
research organization would do (be creative). It should answer the
question, "What would have happened if someone who knew about and
studied dimensional travel saw the beam of light that carried Hitomi and
Van away from Earth, most likely through one of his/her scanning devices
or whatever." This story would take place parallel to the Escaflowne
continuum, but mostly on Earth following this
scientist/engineer/whathaveyou.
I haven't seen many series based Escaflowne fanfics on this list, and I
think it's high time someone did it. So, please, anyone, pick up this
idea and run with it. Make it big, and make it in-depth.
Wow, I should do this more often... too many ideas I have go to waste
just because I can't do them, and then I forget them entirely.
I'd be interested in reading anything anyone comes up with in this vein.
