Hello,
I usually content myself to lurking around here, but I felt like writing
tonight. Despite a 19mo. who wishes to sleep on Mama's lap and a 3yr old
who can't seem to stay in bed tonight. Just a short story ahead, not much
and not well written, but o'well I'm not a professional (I'll leave that to
Lurker, Kleppe, and lots of etc.). And don't worry those of you who have
read my work before this isn't my usual slash work. ^_^. C&C isn't
necessary but if you do comment be nice to me please! I have sensitive
feelings ^_-.

Disclaimer: I don't own them, I don't make money off this (trust me no one
would pay for this), and it's only for fun if you sue me You must stand in
line, You rack up a lot of bills paying for 6 little mouths to take care
of.

Mermaid's Tears
by kirasmommy

Mana held Yuta's hand as she gazed down at him. She held her breath as she
waited for him to wake up from his most "recent" death. As always in the
back of her mind was the fear that someday he may not recover, and as
always she felt relief as her fear was once again put to rest.
As he opened his eyes he smiled up at her, "Mana...."
"Yuta....why did you do it?"
"I had to Mana, I couldn't let her risk her own life."
Mana closed her eyes to hold back the tears that threatened to fall. Once
again Yuta had come to the rescue of an old girlfriend (Now an old
grandmother). Getting reinvolved in her life and reliving the love he had
felt back then. Mana wished Yuta could just stop visiting the past and live
with her in the here and now. But the past is what makes us who we are and
deep down Mana understood that. She was naive but she wasn't stupid.
During the last few years she was begining to realize that in all reality
she was jealous of his past, and she also felt she could never live up to
it.
As much as she loved Yuta she could not remain. Every memory he relived,
every lost love was a rival. And her heart could no longer take the pain.
The pain of knowing she wasn't enough for him.
As she left him she cried the tears of regret and the tears of lost love.
As she left, Yuta finally understood one can not live in the past and he
mourned his lost future.

No flames please.
Hey do I at least get the credit that this isn't a Ranma or a sailormoon?
