I personally think that it's exagerated, in some fanfics he
accidentally goes to the US, Russia, Africa, and once I read a story
where he made it to Neptune.
   In the Anime and Manga (from what I've seen) he doesn't leave Japan
unintentionally

I personally think we're taking this *much* too seriously.  It's exagerated
for comedy value.  I mean *NEPTUNE*?!  C'mon, here we are reading a fanfic
and suddenly Ryoga's been to Neptune!  A bit of comedic shock value. :)
