Also, I haven't seen this contested episode (I do not watch the X-files),
but after all this mail, I must admit to some curiosity. Was this just
like a BGC episode with X-files mixed in, or did they just share some of
the same ideas? It's difficult to draw any conclusions from the mail that
was posted on the FFML.
It just shared some of the same ideas: Legacy of a dead genius, particle-beam
satelittes, downloading ones brain, etc etc. There weren't any Boomers; the
only AI controlled machinery was distincly non-humanoid, like this tiny little
gizmo with claws that looked like it was made from one of those kids motorized
Lego's sets.
And, as so many of my fellow FFML'ers have delicately pointed out, some of
those elements are not strictly BGC, but are rather products of the cyberpunk
world in general. (My face is STILL red....)
Now that I really think about it, though, it was more like an episode of AD
Police Files than anything else. Just change Muldur and Scully to Leon and
Jeena and it would have been *exactly* like the AD Police Files.
THERE'S a crossover idea for ya....
