I can think of a very simple reason.
The Madoka he loves *isn't there*. Right now Kazuya's got her brainwashed
to be a nice fluffy little plaything. One of the things that Kyosuke finds
attractive in Madoka is her strength of will. With that gone, his mind
inadvertently takes him to the closest analogue to 'his' Madoka there is.
But how did he tell this? He doesn't do telepathy, and I find it hard to
believe his subconscious went and mentally probed Madoka to check on how
she was before teleporting him. And why pick such a different parallel
universe? Why not subconsciously shunt him back through time to before
Madoka got messed up by Kazuya? Thus fixing two birds with one stone?
