Keiichi stood on the steps near the temple and watched as Belldandy slowly
walked towards him. As she stood in front of him, her eyes questioning, he
held out both his hands in front of her, a small ring preciously held in
his fingers. "Belldandy, this is for you," Keiichi proclaimed, closing his
eyes as the emotions of the moment swept through him.

With gentle fingers, Belldandy took the ring and held it close to her face
as tears started flowing from her eyes. "Thank you Keiichi-san. I will
cherish this gift always. I will never forget you, even if you were to
forget me," Belldandy said, smiling sadly.

"Belldandy," Keiichi replied, his voice full of love and confusion. In a
sudden rush, Belldandy rose from the ground as beautiful white-feathered
wings sprouted from her back. "Belldandy!" Keiichi screamed.

"Destiny demands that I return to heaven, and I- I obey Destiny," Belldandy
proclaimed as she rose higher in the sky.

As Keiichi was about to protest once more, a giant purple mechanical foot
came crashing down on the temple. Keiichi jerked his head around and
stared up at a large purple robot. (What did Skuld build -this- time?) he
wondered in fear.

The purple monstrosity was hold a large gun and seemed to be pointing it
at Belldandy. "Hey, you! Get out of here!" A youngish male voice called
out from the robot.

"Who, me?" Keiichi yelled back in confusion.

"Yeah! I need to destroy that Angel!" the voice explained.

"Angel?" Keiichi asked, weakly glancing at Belldandy, who was still rising
into the sky. "Th-that's not an Angel! She's a goddess!" he protested

"A goddess?" the voice asked, "Misato, I think our enemies have been
upgraded!" the voice yelled.

"No! Wait! You don't understand!" Keiichi screamed, knowing it was too
late. He covered is eyes as the blast from the robot's gun covered him
with it's searing heat.

Keiichi woke up, panting and gasping for breath. He looked around wildly,
his eyes adjusting to the darkness. He was in his room, sitting up on his
futon. (It- It was a dream?) he thought, relief flooding his senses. He
wiped the sweat off of his forehead and sighed in irritation. "Sempai was
right; there really wasn't any point in seeing 'End of Evangelion.' "
