The aurgument was between myself and one other because the other person
decided that Hitomi is only allowed to base Ranma's life story according to
real life "well documented facts" and not on how things would run in
Hitomi's version of the Ranma 1/2 universe. I was merely defending the
position of Hitomi on the grounds of authorial privledges. That was all. If
you didn't catch what I'm talking about, I've attached the pertanent
mailings to this letter.

  However, one of the purposes of the FFML is so that authors can get
critical response to their fics.  Authorial privilege is beside the point.
If the author is not able to bring about a suspension of disbelief then he
or she should be told so.  As long as critics are not abusive or complete
twits and are expressing honest opinions, then it is pointless to argue or
criticize the critique.  You can't argue someone into liking a story.  You
and Jessica thought it was a good story, Chan Wei Lik did not.
