Normally, I don't reply to the whole ML (unless I screw up and hit
reply-to-all), but this time I felt that this was something the whole ML
should see.

Douglas, this is without a doubt your best work. Not because it was dark,
not because it was violent (to me, child abuse is horrifically violent), but
because of the way you did the characters.
Thanks, I'm very pleased with the work. Now that it's over and can go write
some cuddly stuff.
Everyone in ther fic was completely in-character, from Usagi's mother/sister
conflicts, to Mamoru's moping and self-hatred, to the attitudes and actions
of the other Senshi. (Well, Rei was a little too bitchy for my tastes, but
we'll save my Senshi biases for another forum.) I never found myself going
"oh please, they would NEVER act that way." That's not to say the fic was
predictable, to the contrary, you threw me for a loop more than a few times,
and it made the fics even more enjoyable.
I certainly appreciate your support. I tried to keep their
characterizations on course. I won't touch upon the little tiff that
occured over Mamoru as I plan on addressing that in the authors notes to
one degree or another. But I think I put a lot of my soul into making the
characters real, it was a very real subject and anything but having at with
real emtions would have negated the whole point of the fic.
Now, for the criticism. First, I'd recommend looking at the way you do
temporal mechanics. I was never quite clear on the way things worked in
this universe. Second, why does Chibi-Usa have to die at 36? It seemed to
serve no viable purpose other than to make the reader depressed.
I will take a look at the temporal mechanics. Although I likely won't be
able to address them right away. As to Chibi-Usa? I didn't want Chibi-Usa
walking around as an adult in the future (for the sequel that's a a long
ways from done) so I had her die in a car crash. And if you got depressed
about her getting killed at 36 it's a good thing I didn't post the other
ending.
Good work, Douglas, I look forward to your next stuff.
Thank you, I'm busy working away at it.
