2) that being said, after reading several attempts, I am now of
the firm belief that a good Ranma/Eva crossover CANNOT be
done. Why not? Same reason you won't have Lodoss War
crossing over with Power Rangers any time soon.

  Different genres. Entirely too different.

Ki blasts and incredible martial artists just don't fit
in the Evangelion universe, just my opinion.

Yeah, I've read 'For the sake of the Children'.
Nice polish, fair plotting, but I just don't buy the
setup. If you apply Ranma 1/2 rules to the EVA universe,

I'd have to disagree with you on one point. I believe that any two
series
can be crossed over; even Evangelion and Ranma. Perhaps a viable
story has
not been written yet, but that doesn't make it impossible.

The premise of most crossovers, in fact, most Anime that I have seen
are not
very feasible. (A guy who changes sex by means of water??? Giant
Angels
walking around trying to destroy the earth??? Ya right...) I'm being
facetious, of course, but my point is that a hard-to-believe premise
doesn't
make the stories any less enjoyable, IMO. Perhaps, Mr Wong, Mr.
Lee, and
myself haven't found the right formula yet for a Eva/Ranma cross,
but it
could happen; and besides, in the end, we're all just having fun. ^_^

I have to agree as well. Two good examples are "For The Sake of The
Children" and definitely "Alternate Future". Definitely woth the
reading.

'nuff said ^_^!
