Greetings all on the FFML,
Well here it is. My first and likely my only attempt at writing an
Evangelion Fanfic. Though certainly not my first Fanfic written.
At the moment this is just a teaser type prologue for the story.
Please do read it and be brutal when it comes to evaluating it. I need to
know if I've done a good job! Or if I should just save myself the trouble
and quit, because it's the worst piece that you've ever read. Hey, if
that's how you feel tell me. I won't write back naturally if that's the
case, but I appreciate the time you'd take to say so.
Alright then some things may be out of sorts, I mean dates and such.
That's because my memory for such things really sucks! Even if I have seen
all but two episodes in the series.
There are Author's notes at the end of this story. I just wrote them up
after I finished writting. Feel free to read them or not. It makes no
difference to me. Some things may already be mentioned in the notes that
are mentioned in this introductory paragraph. Also the notes may help you
to understand the story a little more.
Okay, I've bored you long enough so I'll shut up.
Please enjoy this feeble attempt for a Fanfic.
The Queen Otaku
Working on my dad's account
"I'll tell you," said she, in the same hurried passionate whisper, "what
real love is. It is blind devotion, unquestioning self-humiliation, utter
submission, trust and belief against yourself and against the whole world,
giving up your whole heart and soul to the smiter -- as I did!"

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Man's Creation
Prologue
Written, Edited, and Proof Read By: Amanda Paquette (The Queen Otaku)
5 Years after Second Impact...
Heavy footsteps thuded against the cold tile floor from behind her. She
turned around to see the man who was her superior and boss. A strong, dark
and mysterious man was he. The glasses he wore reflected the light
strongly giving him an almost suspicious look.
"He's dead isn't he?" he said calmly, his walking stopped when he was in
front of her.
"Yes." she said quietly, nodding her head.
"Do you know the cause this time?" he asked.
"It's the same as the others." she replied.
"So he rejected it?"
"Yes."
"Are you going to continue the project?"
She placed her hand on the clear glass of a capsule. Her face looked
almost thoughtful as she ran her hand caressingly over the surface of the
dome.
"Will you let me?" she asked.
"No." he said.
"Then I guess that's your answer."
He began to walk away, his heavy footsteps thuding on the floor again. He
had barely walked more than five steps when he suddenly stopped.
"I want all information and files on this project destroyed. Everything.
I want no one to know of this." he said sternly.
"Huh?" she looked up from the capsule, her face full of shock. "But what
of the other two test subjects? What am I to do with them?"
"I said destroy everthing." he began to walk away again.
"Wait!" she called out, causing him to stop walking again, "You can't do
that! And you can't make me do that either! I won't!"
"If you won't, then I shall just have to get some one who will. But won't
you rather that it'd be yourself to end it?" he said smiling, looking at
her over his shoulder.
She looked at the capsule beside her, her eyes welding up with tears.
'How could he be so cruel?!'
"Yes, I would rather that it'd be me. Just answer me this... why?"
He turned around to directly face her.
"Because this project has already failed four times, we don't have the
resources in order for you keep experimenting."
"You do too have the resources! How could you not?!" she screamed at him
furiously. "I know about your projects! They waste a lot more resources
than my ever will!
A-and, and your's have failed countless times while mine have only failed
four times! You can't cut me off, I'm so close!"
"It doesn't matter how close you've come. We've found an alternative to
your ways. You've become expendable." he said with another slight smile.
"An alternative?"
His smile brodened as he stepped aside, allowing her to get a good look at
the doorway. Standing there silently smiling, was a young girl. She ran
up to the man's side. The little girl kept smiling as the man gave a
friendly brush of her short hair with his fingers. His eyes were intense
and caring as he looked at the girl.
The woman's face was blank. She was devoid of emotion.
"So this is your alternative?" she asked, her voice toneless.
"Yes." He said without taking his eyes off of the girl, "You can see
why we no longer need you. We have already done what you had tried to
accomplish."
"Not quite." the woman said under her breath.
"What was that?" he asked, reluctantly taking his eyes off of the girl.
"Nothing." she sighed. "Very well then. I shall get to work in taking
care of... cleaning up."
"Good." he said. He then took the hand of the little girl and together
they left the room closing the twin doors behind them.
The woman placed her hand on the capsule again. She looked sadly at it.
A few tears fell on the glass. She wiped her bitter tears and walked away
from the capsule towards the back of the room.
"All of my hard work..." she said, opening a door to a seperate room.
"All those long hours..." she flipped on a light.
"Wasted?" she said, looking at two new capsules. She walked up to them.
The glass on these capsules were fogged up terriblely, it was impossible to
see what was in them. The woman picked up a clip board. Pulling out a pen
from the pocket of the lab coat she was wearing, she got ready to write
something.
She checked a small control pad located on the side of the capsule. The
capsule itself was huge with a great many buttons and plugs. The machine
was surprisingly quiet and emitted only a dull hum. A bunch of tubes
flowed into the sides of the capsule from the back. Three of these tubes
were made of clear plastic, and showed the liquids being pushed through
them.
The woman wrote down something on her clipboard and smiled, she checked
the other capsules control pad and her smile grew bigger as she wrote
something else down.
"These two will work. I know it." her smile faltered and dissapeared.
"Yet, they have to be destroyed... or do they?"
She smiled again she pressed her hand to one of the icy capsules. "Don't
worry, I won't have you destroyed. Not when you still have a chance."
A Year later...
The doors to her room burst open. Standing there, in a frightening mood
stood the man with the glasses. Now her former boss and superior.
He stormed up to the woman. Her back was turned to him, so he grabbed hold
of her shoulder and whirled her around.
Then he took hold of both of her shoulders.
"Where are they?!" her yelled at her, shaking her none too lightly.
"Where is who?" the woman said inocently. The look of boldness and
courage in her eyes only angered the man further.
"You know damned well who! Were are the test subjects?!"
"Destroyed of course. By your orders." she said with a slight smile. He
let go of her.
"You lie!" he spat and hit her across the face.
The woman let out a muffled giggle. This gave the man a bit of a shock.
Holding the side of her face she said to him, "Now why would I have any
reason to lie to you? After all, you only destroyed the project that I had
almost perfected. No, you didn't destroy them, you killed them!" she
laughed. She actually laughed!
"Where have you hidden them?" he asked softly.
"Murderer." she laughed, "Killed the ones I loved."
"Where are they?" he asked. He was straining himself from yelling and
hitting her again.
"Gone."
"Gone? Where?"
"You'll never find them. I made sure of that."
"Then you admit that you hid them do you?"
"I admit to nothing. You told me to have them destroyed and I did."
The man's eyes went wide with realization. "So you only destroyed the
files and hard copies, did you?" The woman smiled at him, he was getting
it now.
"Where are they?! Tell me now!" He demanded. He aimed to hit her again
but this time she dodged it. She ran towards a cabinet.
"Looks like I put a little crimp in your great plans for the future."
"You have no idea how much. Very well then, I shall just have to have the
place searched."
"You already have, haven't you? I can tell." she said, this time with a
serious tone, but still smiling.
The man had a small smirk on his face. "You always could tell when I was
bluffing."
"I was never easily swayed or taken in now was I?"
"No you weren't. I'm sure that we can work this out."
The woman's smile brodaned. She nodded her head, "No it can't. Project
S.E.T.H will never be yours." She reached into a drawer behind her. "Now
I suggest that you get out of here before the police come."
"You'd call them on me?"
"No, but some one's bound to hear the shot."
"Eh?"
The woman pulled out a gun from the drawer. She pointed it at him. Then
smiling she pointed it at herself,
"'Till we meet again, dear friend. " and fired.
Author's Notes:
Hey are you really reading this?
Great! That's why I wrote it!
So how are you? Good I trust.
Alright I've got those tiny informalities out of the way, now on to the
story notes.
So why write an Eva fic?
Well, while surfing through the net one day, in search for fanfics to read.
I was saddened by the fact that there are so few Eva fanfics. And
although there are a few, none of them are actual story series. A lot of
the fanfiction with Eva are indepth looks at the characters, or a rewrite
of the series, it-self.
<Updated note here: That is if you're reading this. Please don't be mad
at me. This note was written before I joined up with the FFML and
discovered that there were many Eva stories out there that were contrary to
what I said before. Please forgive my rudeness.>
Not this time!
I plan on writing a 25 chapter story using all of the original characters!
I say 25 now, but knowing my-self as well as I think I do, it'll probally
land up being much longer or much shorter.
Also, this entire story takes place one year after the last Angel attack.
Therefore all of the characters are now 15. Shut up! I'm writing this
thing, and besides I figure that this way I can write some more interesting
senarios ^_~
Get your minds out of the gutter! 15 is still young!
Also, I am disregarding all facts about the movie!
<Air/My Purest Heart to You (?)>
I have only heard a little bit about it, and already I hate it! Mind you I
still want to see it. Simply because it's Eva.
And for future reference, I don't care about Rei's biological background! :-p
Well if you read all that and still wish to read on, go ahead! Please,
continue reading!
Write me lots of e-mail too! The more e-mail, the faster new chapters will
be written. Heck, I'm not going to continue writting something that nobody
reads.
Also if you have any problems with how I handle the characters, tell me! I
need to know if I did a good job.
