Whoo boy...

Sorry for the spam, people, but I feel the need to address this
issue. This is some serious shit, and I want everyone to hear what I
have to say to both DDFA and to Chris Davies.

First, to DDFA: 

I'd first like to say that if I were you, I would at least consider
forwarding those letters to the postmaster of Davies' ISP. Pursuing a
criminal case against him would not be worth the waste of time and
effort due to the international factor, but at the very least, you
should consider letting someone else pursue the matter in your stead,
such as the ISP operators. Furthermore, I suggest you use a mail
filter to eliminate all further messages Davies attempts to send you,
if he attempts further communication. You don't need that kind of
trash in your mailbox. That kind of trash belongs on a roll in a
toilet stall, and that's still far too noble a purpose for it.

Now, on to Davies:

Who exactly pissed in your Wheaties? Are you taking some kind of
medication you're having a bad reaction to? Did your mother or father
beat you? Are you using illegal drugs? 

To say this kind of behavior is inexcusable is understating things.
I'll put it short and sweet: DUDE, GET A LIFE. Get your ass *off* the
Internet, and go out and experience the real world for a little
while. You're obviously spending a little too much time on your
computer, and it's not healthy for you. 

Is it absolutely neccessary to threaten someone's life over their
opinion? I don't know. I wouldn't presume so. There are countless
thousands of examples throughout history where a man's opinions got
him killed...prophets, scholars, philosophers, Jesus Christ,
presidents and emperors, and so forth and so on...

But a FANFICTION AUTHOR? A person who's writing nonprofit fiction
simply for his own enjoyment and the enjoyment of others? 

I don't think so.

First of all, Davies, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
You're entitled to yours, I'm entitled to mine, DDFA is entitled to
his. There's nothing you can do about that. The Internet is a global
community, and it's all about free speech. You can't change that, and
you shouldn't even try.

There are things worth threatening the life of another human being
over, worth wishing someone dead over. I myself can name two, and
only two, human beings whose lives I wish to see ended: my
grandmother's third husband, and Saddam Hussein. The former, I have
as much as taken a vow to personally slay if he ever so much as
places one foot within the state of Texas again, for the crimes he
committed against myself and my family. Saddam Hussein deserves to
die for crimes against humanity.

DDFA has committed no crimes. He has merely voiced opinions. What he
chooses to believe, and how he chooses to express it, if indeed he
*did* choose to express anything at all, is entirely his choice, and
his right. You have the right to your own opinion as well, but that
right does not include threatening the life and limb of another human
being for having an opinion. 

In short, Davies, I think you need to quit this FFML for a while, and
while you're at it, quit the Net for a while as well. Find something
else constructive to do with yourself, and do it until you find some
measure of inner peace, so that when you return you can read a
fanfiction without finding within it cause to bring down a blood feud
upon someone's head. 

To the rest of the FFML: I apologize profusely for this piece of
spam, but it was something that really and truly needed to be said.
