Not exactly. The old archive was lost in the transition to the new FFML
machine. The new list system (Majordomo) uses a different method of
archive access, which hasn't been set up yet.

ARGH!!!!  You can't be serious...can you?  Tell me it ain't so.  The old 
archive, gone forever?  The agony, a-go-ny!!  ;_;

Not that I could ever find what I wanted.  :P~

I'm told there are two web-based archives of recent FFML postings,
though:

Not good enough.  I'm _still_ looking for an original fic teaser I posted 
somewhere between November of 95 and June of 96.  I don't remember when it 
was, only that I had stayed up for about 30 hours straight when I had 
written it.  I don't want to try to recreate the circumstances that 
brought that teaser into existence, out of my tortured brain.

If anyone remembers the teaser, let me know.  If anyone _has_ a copy, SEND 
IT TO ME PLEASE.

The premise was this:  On a gas giant world, there were pterodactyl-like 
creatures living in the outer atmosphere.  On a "dare" from not quite 
mature friends, one of the creatures flies through the outskirts of a 
large storm system, stretching some one hundred miles across.  One of his 
wings is badly torn, but he manages to get to his uncle's roost, who lives 
in a community on the other side of the storm.

I believe the last sentence of the teaser was, "To-morrow, he would 
return."  That is, if my memory hasn't failed me.

Oh, yeah.  Andy Skuse sent me C&C on the teaser (which I've subsequently 
lost, along with the teaser itself; no computer of my own back then, and 
my disks were stolen), but doesn't remember reading it, now.  It was that 
long ago.
