But one also wonders why the "Male is Evil" part of this chapter even
needs to be there.  There could be a thousand other ways Ranma could get
Kodachi to stop chasing her.  The fact that you chose the "Male is Evil"
route seems to indicate that this has another purpose.  The most obvious
one is that this is to show that Ranma believes it himself.

Which IS entirely possible at that point.  I just re-read the whole thing,
and Ranma's attitudes from the beginning to this point seem to be pointing
to a decision on Ranma's point to drop his male side PERMANENTLY.  To him,

Maybe I'm misremembering, but wasn't the original purpose of this fic
to be a response to other Ranma-becomes-a-girl fics, without leaning on
plot devices such as magic and/or his curse?  A look at how Ranma "I'm
a guy, dammit!"  Saotome could very well decide to be a full-time girl?
