I actually perfer characters like Tenchi that leave the sexual preference
undefined.
It adds an extra level of tension to the series to have the possibility
that maybe none of the girls had a chance at all in the first place.
What makes you think that C-ko is gay? Sure, she's obsessed with A-ko,
but I've never seen her place it in sexual terms. (Compare with Alielle,
who is boldly introduced as the princess's lover and makes overtly sexual
glomps.)
But at least you've clarified the success of Ranma. (Who's been known to
switch over just to sneak into a group of girls. :-)
