function by the same basic mechanisms -- if from a different source -- as
the goddesses'.

That's an interesting idea.. However, given the source of the Goddess's
power (_behind_ Yggdrisl (sp) ), the metaphysical implications are
interesting..

Maybe she's called a "demon-god" for a very specific and accurate
reason...

Now there's a line to follow.  Assume that she's plugged into the
"alternate power source".  What if, for some reason or other, it
becomes necessary to "reroute the power couplings" on Ifurita as part of
the climax of the story, and she ends up a full goddess with the
appropriate face marks.

Or maybe not even a different source.  Ifurita is, at her heart, a
computer.  The goddesses (depending on how you look at it) get their power
from a computer.  Maybe there's no difference at all...

But where does the _computer_ get it's power from? 

Well, there I can't give you a canon answer, if there is one.

That they know it, yeah.  Not to mention that Keiichi is probably going to
be surprised as well... <grin>

True..  Keeping track of who knows what when will be interesting.
