Ch.2 Ranma's better half
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
	"...And thats what happened" finished Ranma-kun as Ranma-chan sobbed
uncontrollably beside him with several empty tea kettles beside her. "How long
are you gonna cry? Its embarrassing." said Ranma-kun. "Shut up!!" screamed
Ranma-chan.
	"Most unfortunate." said Soun with a wizened look on his face. "That it is
Tendo." agreed Genma solemnly. He went and grabbed his son by his shoulders.
"Are you positive you can't find it?" he asked. "Thats what I said isn't it?"
said Ranma looking angry. There was a long quiet moment and a breeze blew.
"ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY SURE?" cried Genma. "Yes!" said Ranma planting his fist in
Genma's face. 
	"What are we gonna do with her?" asked Nabbiki pointing at the spot Ranma-
chan used to be in. "She's gone." said Akane. Every one turned to face Ranma.
"What?" he asked. "We must find her. I have a responsibility to marry my new
daughter off to a rich husband." he cried. Every one turned to look at him. "I
know where she went." said Ranma.
	Ranma-chan burst into the CatCafe. "Come out here you Goul." She screamed.
Cologne hobbled down the stairs "Son-in-law, I'm afraid Shampoo is away on a
delivery at the moment..." she said cheerfully. "Shut up. how do I fix this?"
Growled Ranma. "Fix?" said Cologne. "Don't play dumb with me you hag! You turn
me back right now!!" Ranma was pissed.
	 "I am afraid that is Impossible. You see the jewel only works one way
groom." said Natsumi. "What?!!" said Cologne and Ranma in unison. "Y-you lied
to me Natsumikan?" stuttered Cologne. "Of course. your family removed me from
the Amazon clan and then had the audacity to ask me for help?" she said
angrily. "If you had succeeded you would be allowed to return." said Cologne.
"After fifty years?!!" growled Natsumi. "It is too late I'm far to old for
that to matter." she said as she vanished. "You old witch!" said Cologne
hatefully. Ranma chan looked at the shadow before her as it shrank.
"Irreversible?" she said quietly. "I will ensure the downfall of the groom yet
Cologne!" said the fading voice.  Cologne looked sadly at Ranma-chan. "I am
sorry Ranma there is nothing I can do Natsumi knows all the Amazon spells and
counters if she says it is irreversible then it is so."
	 "Y-you didn't give it to me at all did you?" Ranma asked. "No I did not. You
will have to learn to live as a woman I'm afraid. Because you are the
embodiment of his curse not even Jusenkyo can help you I'm afraid." sighed
Cologne "And because I am in some way responsible for this..." Cologne pulled
out a small bracelet from a small box and handed it to Ranma. "What is this?"
asked Ranma looking at it with a small amount of anger. "Wear it with pride,
you have more than earned it in the time I've known you." Cologne looked for
the first time since Ranma had known her regretful. "Is this supposed to fix
every thing? This trinket?!!" she asked enraged. "Never remove it. It is very
special although it holds no magic. Go home to your family Ranma, you'll need
them." she sighed as she sat down at a table. 
	Ranma-kun saw himself emerge from the CatCafe' looking sadly at the sunset.
"Hey..." he called. "There is no way to turn back." said Ranma-chan with a
hard look. "we've been here before remember?" comforted Ranma. "This isn't
anything like Herb. There is no cure. Not even Jusenkyo." she said always
looking at the sun. "Are you sure I mean there is always a way..." said Ranma
looking shocked. 
	"Not this time boy." said Cologne. Ranma whirled around. "You this is your
fault!" he cried. Ranma-chan pulled on his arm to hold him back. "It was not
Cologne." she said. "Her name is Natsumikan, she uses a set of Mystical jewels
so powerful not even the most potent of Amazon magic can defeat them. She
killed several of our best warriors when she was young accidentally while
learning to control their power and as A result was banished from the village.
She was a good friend until that time." said Cologne. "She can be made to
suffer for Ranma's condition but I'm afraid it would be a meaningless battle
not even she could reverse the spell that jewel put on you it was the most
powerful of them all the "jewel of separation". "Legend has it that that jewel
is what the gods themselves used to separate the elements to create the
universe, and the other jewels. 
	"Other jewels?" Asked Ranma-kun. "Yes. In the beginning there were seven
jewels, Natsumi has three, the separation jewel, the Chameleon jewel, and the
attribute jewel. In any case it would be a useless jesture to seek her out,
you have enough problems as it is, save Revenge for another day I have a
feeling we will see her again." she concluded. 
	As they watched Cologne walk back into the Cat Cafe one thing was on both
their minds. "Who are you to talk." they grumbled.
	Ryoga Hibiki walked down some road in a Quiet area near Tokyo. "Now where am
I?" He thought. He walked up to a woman who was sweeping in front of a large
building. "Excuse me could you tell me where I could find the Tendo dojo?" he
asked her.
	Inside Maison Ikkoku Yusaku Godai watched the exchange. "Hey Godai who is
that talking to the Manager?" asked Akemi. "Got me." he replied. Kyoko walked
in cheerfully. "Say who was that?" asked Akemi. "Oh, just a nice young man who
is lost." she replied.
	Ryoga walked along relentlessly towards his destination(?) "What did she say?
four rights?" he wondered , he almost didn't notice the rain. Until he
changed. Then a tall shadow loomed over him.
	Godai watched the rain from the porch "Man look at it come." he commented
Dryly as Yotsuya walked in. "I am home." he announced carrying a large pack on
his back.	"Uh, Interesting fashion statement?" asked Godai looking at the
pack. "I found it by the road." said Yotsuya
	A short time later Kyoko heard a scratching at the door. "Hello?" she said as
she opened it. "Oh, my." she said as she looked down and saw a very angry P-
chan. "How cute!" she said smiling at the animal. She picked him up and
carried him into her room. "Poor dear  you must be freezing." she said as she
put him on a towel.
	 A few moments passed and Kyoko came in with a smile. "I've Got just the
thing to warm you up!" she said as Ryoga looked at her. She slammed a tub of
steaming water down. "A HOT BATH." she said cheerfully grabbing the pig.
"KWEEEEEE!" Protested P-chan. "Quit squirming." she said dunking him in.
	Itchinose sat in the hall enjoying a cigarette with Yotsuya when a scream
came from Kyoko's room.
	WOULDN'T IT BE CRUEL TO STOP RIGHT HERE?
