Very good chapter. I love this series.
Thanks.
Question: Are you planning a 'redemption' for YK? Or perhaps one for
Serenity in YK's eyes?
A lot of people really want to see him gain redemption, or to forgive Serenity.
I'm sure not going to answer that before I release the final chapter (^_^),
but let's just say that the ending is suitable to the character. That line,
BTW, was designed to tell you nothing. ^_^
Well the question of redemption is variable. Looking over his memories
of Serenity, the question begins to appear weather or not he's actually in the
wrong. This ficts future Serenity is reminding me more and more of the
Technocracy from Mage the Ascention.
The technocracy's goal is to protect humanity, and increase the quality
of living. Their problem is that they have begun to take this to seriously and
are trying to control every aspect of reality which impacts humanity. In their
quest for control they view such necessary human elements as creativity,
imagination, and freedom as things necessary to sacrifice for the greater good of
protecting humanity.
In the fict, Serenity did a lot of things in the name of protecting the
world. However like the technocracy she may have become so obsessed with
protecting humanity that she would destroy what made them human to accomplish her
goal. One thing to consider- Serenity did what she did after many centuries of
fighting. She felt she was perfectly justified and was doing the right thing. I
very much doubt that Sailor moon would feel in any way similar about those
actions. It might be interesting to see a confrontation where he faces Serenity
only to discover that she agrees with him about her future selves actions.
