-where on Lodoss do the elves live?

   In the forests?

   I don't really know that one - they didn't elaborate in the anime.  I do
know there are Dark Elves (they don't get along), but not much else.

Since Record of Lodoss War is the equivelent of our Dragonlance and
Forgotten Realms here in the States, i.e. a pen & paper RPG, from the
former TSR, adapted to other media, the Dark Elves are presumably the
same.  Deedlit (sorry about the spelling,) was specifically called a
High Elf just before she was kidnapped.

It's been a number of years since I've played AD&D, but the impression I
get is RoLW is based on "Home" rules, much like Greyhawk, Dragonlance,
and Ravenloft are.  With that in mind, you could have them as a separate
race, ala AD&D proper, or outcasts, ala Dragonlance.
