I signed up to the FFML very recently.  I've been hiding out in the shadows,
trying to  figure out the general protocol and etiquette.  Anyhow I've got a
couple fanfic ideas I've been debating undertaking and I'd appreciate any
input.  

One of my ideas would be called "Chasing Emi" (tentative title).  Basically
it'd be somewhat similar to the recent film "Chasing Amy" (If Emi couldn't
conceivably be a real Japanese name, please tell me (or if it's just too
lame)).  Hiroshi or Daisuke (or possibly another minor male character) would
fall in love with a new character.  Unfortunately, she happens to be a
lesbian.  Hiroshi/Daisuke is crushed and becomes somewhat obsessive.
Eventually he goes to Ranma and tells him he wants his help in finding the
Nyannichuan (and that he'll cover expenses).  Seeing an opportunity to find a
possible cure, Ranma agrees.  They succeed.  The story sort of branches out
from here : Ranma sans curse and Hiroshi/Daisuke's attempt to woo "Emi" in a
female form.  It would focus more on Hiroshi/Daisuke.

Well, that summary took longer than I expected.  I'll save the other for some
other time.  What do you think?  Is it feasible?  Which character should it
feature?  And possibly most important; has it already been done?  Detailed
suggestions greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
