Okay, this is only vaguely fanfic related, but I might as well give it a
shot...
The company I work for has finally decided, after dallying around for
about a year, that they're not going to hire me permanently. I'll be a
temp for as long as I'm there. While I'm getting some decent experience
in programming, it's not my dream job.
With all of the ideas I have for original sci-fi stories, I thought I'd
take a stab at writing a sci-fi role-playing game with one of them. I
know what I'm getting into; I know it's going to be a *mess* without a
huge team effort, like the big-name game companies (like Interplay,
Bethesda and Sierra) have. I haven't ever written a published game
before, but I'm going to teach myself how if it kills me. Er, I'm going
to try, anyway. There's just one, niggling problem.
I cannot draw to save my life.
Well, that's not entirely true. With some effort, I might be able to do
some crude sketches of spaceships, etc., but I know my talents don't lie
in that area. Especially not in drawing people.
I'm looking for someone who *can* draw, to be blunt. Preferrably in anime
style. Hopefully, they won't mind doing at least part of the artwork (I
don't know how much I'll need, yet, but I do have a general idea), and
won't mind the sci-fi theme.
Oh yeah. I have at least a couple of game ideas, so if you don't care for
one, we can work on the other. :)
Contact me via the address below if you're interested. Nothing will be
happening for at least the next few months, while I learn how to do
32-bit DOS programming (and find the cash to buy Watcom C++), but I want
to throw out a feeler early.
In the meantime, I'm going to amuse myself by writing an email client. ;)
(I kid you not!)
