I see BE as the answer to all those cases where Akane fans get massively
inconsistent against some _other_ girl (usually Ukyou).  It shows that Akane
can look bad, too, if you write her the same way.  And writing her in the same
way may mean being inconsistent in the same way.

(And I don't think it's _that_ inconsistent, anyway--Akane hits Ranma more than
just about everyone else.)
