I don't think so.  Sure, there are similarities in character -- but they're
not THAT similar.  Also, as I read the story, Akane has gone through a fair
bit with Ranma & Co. already (though it could also be read that this is an
Akane who hasn't met Ranma yet).  That's going to give her quite a
different perspective from Makoto.

	If we're working with the anime SM continuity, this Akane would 
be 14 years old, and Ranma still in her future (and imagine him coming to 
meet an Akane tempered and powered up by two years as a senshi...)

Think about it -- Makoto has a temper, sure, and is inclined toward, um,
rather direct solutions.  But she's basically quite an upbeat character.
The Akane we're seeing here is NOT.  She's just been through something
quite traumatic, whereas Makoto's trauma was all years ago when her parents
died.
